Salam, I stumbled upon this video made by "Apostate prophet" claiming to have found "43 issues with the Quran."

However, he has a habit of just taking a single statement in the Quran and not really elaborating much after just stating that it does not really make much sense to him and starts to act like the Quranic statement just does not make any sense in general, and he sseems very anti-islam because of his own background and much misunderstandings that he is so bent on spreading hatred, which is why I really do take his claims with a grain of salt and I do think he feints ignorance. However, since I am uneducated on the claims I can not retaliate.

I wonder if anyone can refute his claims or actually provide the full context of the "errors" that he mentions? I am not very well qualified on this subject so I cannot really refute anything.

This is the video in question and make sure to check the video transcripts for each "error" provided:

If anyone could disprove this video or some of the claims it would be much appreciated, Wasalm!

I am an atheist but a lot of the arguments mentioned here can be easily refuted. For instance, there is the problem of language being prone to interpretation and so I can alter the meaning of a verse to fit my reality but this does raise the question of maybe this so-called god intended the best interpretations. For instance, "he made the sun a shining light and the moon a light". Realize that he did not state whether or not the moon itself was a source of light and you can argue that since he said the sun was a "shining" light and the moon just a light this author or lets say God understands the distinction and the bottom line was just that both sources emit light whether it be through reflection or being the source itself and the fact that he didn't say shining light twice to describe both means that he understands the distinction. imo your videos would be more convincing if you provide a more impartial and balanced discussion.

As for my personal observation here goes.

The presenter cites the following about ships on the basis that obviously man makes ships and they sail due to winds etc. My rationalisation of our faith is that creation only makes sense with the assumption that God created everything, down to the very last paperclip.

As humans we may have discovered how to make them, but their existence is due to God and He made knowledge of them accessible to us. This has to be the case if you believe in an omnipotent God who has perfect knowledge of the past, present and future.

The same argument can be applied to his later criticism that the Qur'an claims rain comes from God, whereas the presenter ascribes it to the well-established phenomenon of a cycle. A Muslim would respond that God created the cycle.

No doubt others (more knowlegeable than me) will come along and pull apart much more of what he says.

So according this apostate "Islam is morally unacceptable because of blah blah blah". Islam is morally acceptable to billions of people on Earth. Why it is not acceptable to this apostate? This video doesn't mention any reason.

1. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has created everything is pairs. Perhaps he was pointing to the verse:

وَمِنْ كلِّ شيء خلقْنَا زَوْجينِ

So I am surprised by his level of ignorance that he wasn't able to grasp what is meant by زَوْجينِ (pairs).

He has put his whole focus on animal world lol where we find pairs of male & female. At chromosome level, we find pairs for instance x & y chromosomes. But Quranic concept of زَوْجينِ is not limited to these objects. Infact day & night are pairs, heaven & earth are pairs, summer & winter are pairs etc until you reach to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), the Wahid o Ahad o Samad, who is not similar to anything and not have any كفوا

و لم يكن له كفوا احد

So I don't think it is needed to respond to the person who is treading at this deepest level of ignorance. Best for us are the directives of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) as mentioned in Quran:

وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا

25:63

So "peace", stay on what you have selected for yourself. As for the scripture, I would like to refer you the verses of al-Haqqa:

وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ {48}

[Shakir 69:48] And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).

وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبِينَ {49}

[Shakir 69:49] And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters.

وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ {50}

[Shakir 69:50] And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers.

They will express their grief one day Insha Allah and we will witness it too Insha Allah.

Wassalam!!

When you got nothing throw as many darts in all directions to make it seem like its filled with errors... I mean these atheists whose God is science and they are all about REASON. Wouldnt 1-3 mistakes completely invalidate the Muslim claim that the quran is perfect? hmm I wonder why is the video not on just the top 3 or 5 worst "scientific mistakes"? Because making outlandish claims like 43 already instills doubt and proof for the people who already despise religion and just feed into the narrative. I wouldnt mind addressing these claims but I just dont care for people who make these kinds of videos. If someone here has any doubts I do not mind helping them but putting my time for useless people who have a clear agenda and wont change their mind especially when their preconceived notions are so flawed nahh waste of my time

I am going to make a guess here and that is most of his claims are taken too literal, out of context, or mistranslated. Most people think the quran can be read like the bible, as if the quranic arabic language doesnt have its own linguistics and grammar...

I would like to address this because i do think this mentality is dangerous, I do feel as if we need to equip ourselves with the neccesary shields that deflect the bullets that are being fired at us on a daily basis by people who hold an agenda not for them, but for the SAKE of people who may have interest in the truth of islam, we must fight back for them.

We do not care about the baseless, very agenda aimed claims that are clearly taken out of context or too literal,  because we have such strong faith and logic that refutes these claims. but there is a possibility that millions will be fooled, so we MUST deny those claims with conviction.

Salam shortest answer to it is challenge of Quran which it ha been said if they can bring one verse in cooperation with each other in similar fashion of one verse of holy Quran

which he has brung issues from it's translation not original text which is common dirty tactic of Islamophobes likewise him  which they just want do it for increasing viewers of their channels because everything you say in defend of holy Quran will be neglected or  his fans will attack you which just increasing rating of his video in matrix of Youtube which muslims unknowingly help him to spread his nonsense .

an example about refuting can be likewise this

How can the incoherence between verses 21 of chapter 57 and 133 of chapter 3 be resolved in regards to heaven?

Ibn Ishaq Kindi (13), a famous Arab philosopher, in the middle of the third century, during the era of Imam Hasan Askari (peace be upon him) (254-260), wanted to collect a treatise on the contradictions of the Qur'an, but Imam Askari (peace be upon him) stood in front of him which he stopped him from doing this by presenting a decisive proof: Abu al-Qasim Kufi (14) writes in the Book of Al-Tawhid: Ibn Ishaq Kindi sat in the corner of the house for a while and collected the contradictions of the Qur'an. The Imam (peace be upon him) asked one of his students who used to come to the service of the his majesty: Is your teacher busy now? He narrated the story of collecting the contradictions of the Quran to His Holiness. The Imam said: Is there no one among you (disciples) with courage to stop him from doing this? He said: We students, whether in this work or in his other works, never dare to do such an action. The Imam said to him: Will you convey the message I am telling you to him? He said: Yes! He said: Go to him, treat him with kindness, become his helper and friend and help him in his work until he gets along well with you and you become his favorite and beloved. Then tell him: I have a question, I want permission to present it. He accepts you at this time and listens to your question. Then say to him: Is it possible for the owner of this word (Qur'an) to say to you: Is it possible that what I meant by this word is other than what you have understood and assumed? He will tell you: Yes, it is possible for him to say so! Then say to him: Suppose he says that, what is your answer? And don't you suppose that it is your perceptions that created the contradiction, not his words and according to his intention!

When a suitable opportunity came and the student told the teacher what he had mentioned, the teacher was transformed inside and said to him: Repeat this word again! Then he sat down to think and said to himself that such a possibility is possible in terms of words and validity. Then he said to the student: I swear to you that you will tell who told you this and where did you get it from? The student said: It is nothing but a mental memory that came to my mind and I presented it to you! The teacher said: It is never possible for you to think like this, and it is too soon for you to reach such a status! Tell the truth, where did you get it from? The student said: Imam Abu Muhammad, Hassan bin Ali Askari (peace be upon him) gave such an order! The teacher said: "Now you have come right and you have fulfilled your mission well," and added: "Yes, such a pure matter is worthy of such a lofty verse." Then he asked for a fire and burned all that he had collected until that day. (15)

Wow, I hate it that people are responding to his video in the comments and saying things like "silence for those that think the quran has no errors" or "im an ex-muslim bla bla bla". They clearly dont know and are not willing to know the truth behind the verses.

Yes, that's how hatred normally works. People try to find faults and not learn the truth behind things, just so they can hate. This happens everywhere.

Not to mention that the Quran was revealed to a culture of poets, thus will use language and stylistic choices that are normally used in poetry and other forms of creative writing, such as metaphor. I'm a creative writer myself so can see that a lot of the verses in the Quran are quite obviously not intended to be literal. It's often possible to tell just from how things are phrased.

Salamu Alaykum,

first of all, if you translate English to Arabic it has a completely different meaning, the Quran is not like the Bible, the Bible is in English. The Quran is in Arabic.  To get a better understanding, watch this video
