How are humans decided to be born in Muslim, Jew, Christian or any other?

Assalamualekum all brothers and sisters. 
 

I need understanding on this topic from especially scholars who can provide sufficient evidence on the argument:

“Can iblis deceive just souls or just human or both in any form?” 

As its per in, surah A'raf, two verses have been interpreted as speaking of this realm: "And [remember] when your Lord took from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them bear witness over themselves, [He said to them,] "Am I not your Lord?" They said," Yes indeed! We bear witness." [This,] lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection," 

(7:173)Nor say, ‘It was our forefathers who had associated others ˹with Allah in worship˺ and we, as their descendants, followed in their footsteps. Will you then destroy us for the falsehood they invented?’”

 

This question brings me into, how was it decided that we are born into a family who arent Muslims(Shia or Sunni), Christian, Jew, Hindu or any other?

Iblees (LA) can deceive anyone, unfortunately. It doesn’t matter if you’re wealthy or not.

Quran knows most humans want to be good to their parents, but says be good to your parents, but not to the extent you associate God and not follow the true religion. Your intention in religion should not to be to please your parents but for the sake of God and should be sincere to the truth.

Most of the verses emphasizing on to be good to parents are emphasizing you have a bias to confirm the religion of your parents out of love for them, but you must overcome this, and even if your parents are of a false religion, maintain good companionship to them and obey them in everything not to do with religion.

The verses in Surah Ahqaaf however are warning those born in the right religion and rebel against their parents and disbelieve while their parents teach them the truth, and so these are worse to be born into right religion but rebel against both God and parents.

The verses in Surah Baqara about doing good to parents per hadiths (especially tafsir Hassan Al-Askari) are about doing good to the spiritual parents (Mohammad (s) and Ali (a)) and particularly Bani-Israel were to do good to Musa (a), Haroun (a) and Mariam (a) and do good to the kin of Haroun (a) who were Prophets and Messengers. The hadiths emphasize those parents have more right then normal parents and their kin more right then our kin.

Humans generally have bias towards their parents, family, and people. Quran emphasized through out do good to your parents, but if they command you on wrong path don't follow them as that is associating with God.

I would suggest you to first analyze "how do humans born?" Does religious affiliation has any influence on how human born?

According to what we have in hadith is this:

رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): كل مولود يولد على الفطرة، وإنما أبواه يهودانه وينصرانه

So every child is born on "fitrah" irrespective of the affiliation of his parents. And that is the very reason I have referred you to analyze what is fitrah? And what that fitrah have to do with God? That He (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has said in Quran:

فطرة الله التي فطر الناس عليها 

30:30)

And in the end I would also like to advise you to not limit yourself to the analysis of the apparent things/laws of universe. Instead, strive hard to raise your intellectual abilities and discover the spiritual aspects hidden within these apparent things/laws. Lest you may come under the saying of God where He (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has said: 

يَعْلَمُونَ ظَاهِرًا مِنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُونَ {7}

[Shakir 30:7] They know the outward of this world's life, but of the hereafter they are absolutely heedless.

You need to elaborate this a bit. What do you mean by "just humans or both (i.e. human & his soul)"? 

If you take out the soul from any human being, he is nothing but a piece of flesh, with no capacity of understanding & discerning. 

So Satan infact deceives the "human soul" as long as the soul is attached with this material body and as and where Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) allows him to deceive human soul. 

For instance, you might be asking about يوم الست. And are thinking that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has taken the test of every soul on that day. And the result of that test dictates where each soul would born. 

I think there is a major problem in that way of thinking. Imagine the sons of Prophet Adam (عليه السلام) i.e., Habeel & Qabeel, both of them were the son of a Prophet of God, one got deceived by Iblis. So even if the soul of that deceived son failed at يوم الست، why he was born in a muslim family? 

So until you elaborate your question, I am just holding here and would try to respond when you present your elaboration.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ {170}
[Shakir 2:170] And when it is said to them, Follow what Allah has revealed, they say: Nay! we follow what we found our fathers upon. What! and though their fathers had no sense at all, nor did they follow the right way.

I agree with this. 

People just want to follow the herd. They don’t want to think deeply, ponder on important issues. Everyone wants to copy everyone. Everyone’s wearing skimpy outfits, so I’m going to wear skimpy outfits. Everyone’s drinking alcohol, so I’m going to drink alcohol. It’s pathetic.
