This video clip is from one of his videos titled as Muslim is a Verb: Don't Have Hope Without Action | Ustadh Dr. Ali Ataie (27th Night in Ramadan '23)

Given the context of the video, I see that Dr. Ali Ataie had enough with debating against Ex-Muslims, Non-Muslims, Jews, and Christians as a whole because the vast majority of them don't care about the faith Muslims adhere to along with character assassinating Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) at any means necessary.

It is even more disgusting when one of the comments in the video is some people calling out on Dr. Ali Ataie for stepping down, giving into cowardice, and providing lame excuses despite the problem being that they are all asserting without evidence to what Dr. Ali Ataie is discussing here. Even more disgusting is the notion some people believe in which I quote,

"If one can't laugh at oneself and at ones own religion. Then there is something wrong with one and one's religion."

I guess this is the real difference between a Muslim and a Non-Muslim's mentality along with some Jews and Christians. From the likes of Salman Farsi and Bilaal to Abu Lahab and Abu Jahl.

Being an Abu Jahl and an Abu Lahab is the Gold Standard of "Intellect", "Academia", "Wisdom", and "Par Excellence" that all Human Beings should strive for at this day and age. I say that in air-quotes to denote sarcasm. Madness.

"Laugh At" is something most religiously devout individuals from most religions don't wish to engage in. Laughing is not a high priority for the interests of most religiously devout people.

I think it's fair to say most Muslims don't "Laugh At" their own religious beliefs nor "Laugh At" their own religion given Surah 9:65-66 (Al-Tawbah) and Surah 49:11 (Al-Hujurat)

 

Bottom line is that what Dr. Ali Ataie is informing to the Muslim masses is the following,

Be Wise and learn to Discriminate against the Non-Muslims along with Jews and Christians. Don't give the vast majority among them your attention and don't give them the platform the moment they begin character assassinating Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) along with making fun of the signs of Allah and Allah Himself. Because none of them care in the long run and are complacent as to what they already think about Islam (aka Selective and Confirmation Bias). Very few amongst the Non-Muslims come to learn about Islam and understand its nuances. Vast majority are not only in doubt, but mock and ridicule such nuances within the Islamic Religion no different to the Arab Pagans including Jews and Christians.

But then a problem arises, these Non-Muslims along with Jews and Christians will happily spread their filth and misinformation to the ignorant masses against Islam they are while we remain silent and in the defensive against all this?

Is this a damned if we do, and damned if we don't situation for the Muslim Ummah? I will even admit that some Muslims unfortunately are not wise people where they shouldn't make fun of other religions nor make fun of the people who adhere to their religious beliefs.
