I saw the video. I understood the points. I just sometimes cannot resist the urge to listen to music.

Now that you have understood the negative effects of music, but still do not have the willpower to quit, it is in the level of an addiction. To overcome this addiction is to find something positive to replace like listening to the quran or lectures, or do other things when you find yourself wanting to listen to music. Also increase your God consciousness so you have reigns on your willpower. You can do that with more prayer, more tasbih, surround yourself with things that remind you of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) be it rings or necklace with duas/surahs whatever that makes you immediately remember Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and your greater purpose and that useless things such as music will not get in your way with love of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). Just remember with any addiction you cannot overcome it overnight. Start slow and small, stop your listening less and less the frequency and inshAllah it will come a point you dont even care for it anymore. I know many non muslims who dont care to listen to music, its just a distraction to them they say..
