Going to hell from ignorance

I notice a lot many people will have a view that is not quite correct or accepted in Islam. Maybe they think hijab is not wajib or maybe they are gay, but they believe these genuinely out of their own ignorance. Will these people’s efforts be accepted? Or what about us, our opinions are so varied and vast. For example some of our Maraja will disagree about something. So what if I follow a specific marja because they agree or disagree with something I already believed, is this accepted? What if my Marjas opinions are wrong? How do I overcome these doubts, it has led me to not be sure of anything…I can’t get it out of my head I could be stuck in ignorance. I imagine myself as equivalent to an ahmadiyya who will cling to evidences and yet they are so wrong and far off. I’m so afraid that Allah is disturbed with me and I’m bound for hell and that he doesn’t accept me. It has caused me to almost create a barrier between me and Allahs relationship and to almost feel mad at him AstaghfirAllah…it’s like I’ve duped myself. I read some clear evidence and think but what is the other side of it? Surely it’s not as simple as this? I don’t know what to do anymore…

What gives me peace of heart is knowing that Allah knows and sees our sincerity and only judges us based on that. Everyone in the world judges us based on the outward appearance of our actions, without having any idea about what's truly in our heart. Our past, our environment, our personalities, brain wiring, all affect the decisions and actions that we do. Only Allah knows all the factors that are mixed together to truly know if what we intended in our heart of hearts was good or bad.  Knowing this is what puts the heart at ease.

Our duty is to act on what we know with full sincerity (ikhlas), constantly ask Allah for guidance towards what's right (surah Fatiha) and to show us truth from falsehood, and then we leave the rest up to Allah. We also have to truly evaluate inside of ourselves if what we are following is what we know to be true, or what we want to be true. In the latter case we would be worshipping our nafs.

Allah is most merciful, and also most just. A person will not be punished for what they genuinely didn't know or didn't understand, and God knows what is in our hearts. A person who rejects guidance with knowledge and understanding is damned.

Only Allah can tell - we can't know what another person knows or what they have experienced or what they are capable of understanding. Even if they have been taught the right path, life might lead them astray even if they have good intentions.

To understand and go to hell is to be of the worse hell. There is also What Quran says is the biggest reason most end up in hell, which is denying what they yet have knowledge of.

There is levels of hell.  Pharaoh's people and hypocrites are in lowest, because they deny or act opposing their knowledge.

But majority denied what the interpretation was yet to come and that is a lesser hell.
