Salam all!

This will be a long, painful story, so I'll sum it up.

Im a Shia revert/convert (I was Sunni, so whatever seems fit). Can't tell my parents or family unless I want to be murdered early. I tried finding a Shia man who would understand my situation, but I don't blame them for being unable to take responsibility, so I'm engaged to a Sunni man.

The nikkah/reception is set on July 21st and the 23rd, literally the first 2-3 days of Muharram. I don't know what to do because it's only nikkah, not the whole cultural ruksakti. But is this even allowed? I can try talking and updating the date, but it will be impossible.

Lol, honestly I can't blame you for being mad that I didn't tell my parents, or I didn't try hard enough to find a Shia man, but khair, only God knows what I go through and I don't think I have to explain myself a lot; I just need advice.

Well, now that makes me a bit confused because it's saying its haram on the day of Ashura, but my marriage is on the 3rd day? So is my marriage haram regardless?

No Ashura is on the 10th of Muharram so doing the marriage formula on the 3rd is okay, then wait until the mourning period is over (after Safar) to have a celebration with friends and family.
