Veteran Member rkazmi33 Posted January 8 Veteran Member Report Share Posted January 8 I have been dealing with public humiliation and I think so much about how I can get respect from people and someone said: only those women who take abuse silently get respect from people. It means that women, who get married, and tolerate the abuse of their husbands, get respect from people and society. I was thinking that the purpose of any kind of abuse is humiliation. Women, who deal with violence, are not focused on physical pain. They remember the humiliation they felt when getting beaten as an adult. So women, who take abuse, are only choosing one kind of humiliation over another. Does it really matter that people give you respect, when you yourself are feeling humiliated? Advanced Member AbdusSibtayn Posted January 12 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 12 Sitting among ruins of old buildings hammers home the fleeting nature of power. All that remains of royal grandeur, military might and far-flung empires is heaps of chiselled rock and wrought metal. Ghosts of those times gone by live amidst cold, discolored, stony surfaces. Names of the high and mighty survive in engravings on some bit of rubble spared by the deluge of times. Go sit amid those ruins. The melancholy seeps into you. Unlike other civilisations their knowledge and beliefs reach out to us in a way that others don't. Good observation, although on the contrary I would argue that, for all the meticulous recording, no civilization has disappeared as neatly as theirs. The Turkic, Persianate and Indic civilizations in the Ajam world still have a good measure of continuity with their ancient past. Not the case with Egyptians, it seems. Except for some stray parts here and there, ancient Egypt as a whole, including the memory of the Pharaohs, was destined to be lost in the sands of the Sahara until some European Egyptologists resurrected it in the 18th-19th Centuries. It doesn't make sense to me why so many people decide to become angry at one person and it looks like a spell. I don't see any benefit in going to a therapist because my enemies have turned every person in my life against me. They can also turn a therapist against me. Advanced Member VoidVortex Posted January 14 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 14 Your enemies won't be able to turn your therapist against you. Therapists are also forbidden from sharing anything discussed during the session. You could do online therapy so that no one can influence the therapist if that is what you fear. As for why people act like that, its probably herd mentality. You could try out the spiritual warrior program run by Zahra Makke, you may benefit from it. It may make you more resilient. You may not be able to change your external circumstances, but you can certainly change how you respond to it internally. InshAllah everything becomes better. Salam everyone knows that Egyptian civilazation & culture have had deep affection on Jews which it's a theory which it has caused worshipping golden calf by them which there is nearly a far fetch theory which "Jibt" refers to idol worshipping of Jews due to influencing by Egyptian civilazation Quote In this, what is meant by Jibt and Taghoot? commentators have different interpretations [below verse 51 of Surah Nisa, which says: "yuminoona bialjibti waalttaghooti"]; Some have said: These are the names of the two idols that the Jewish population prostrated before them. Some have said: "jibt" here means "idol" and "taghoot" means "idol worshipers" or idol supporters who, as the mouthpieces of idols, quoted things from the words of idols and lied to them in order to deceive people. Veteran Member rkazmi33 Posted January 16 Veteran Member Report Share Posted January 16 (edited) I still think it's a very stupid criteria to determine someone's character. I know how people come up with these criteria. They are asked to pass judgement on someone's character by a powerful person, they are eyes and ears of powerful people like community leader or company CEO. These people are psychologically lazy and they are cruel. They don't want to waste their mental energy on judging character of some ordinary person and they don't really care about how their judgement will affect someone's life. So they come up with these stupid, ridiculous criteria and these criteria are accepted by other psychologically lazy people because they are so easy. There are too many people acting as eyes and ears of powerful people and they all need simple, easy tests to judge someone's character. They are all psychologically lazy who don't care about morals or ethics, they only pretend to care. Edited January 16 by rkazmi33
