I wanted to know what age would be ideal to get married to, im almost 23 years old and stil single even tough im a matured lady. Sometimes it gives me insecurities that i still haven't met someone. I dont really have a large family so my options are really limited if it comes about finding a suitable match

Salam boys can marry after passing 15 lunar years & becoming mature at any age after that which also they must follow law of their country about age of marriage of daughters .

The average age for most women to get married is between 22-28.

Where did you got this from?

That seems about right to me, based on my experience. For a few years,  was involved in a matchmaking program thru Muslim Congress, a large Shia Muslim organization here in the US. Most of the sisters were between these ages (22 - 28). There were a few that were younger and a few that were older, but most were in this range.

This also varies by country. I know in the ME, Africa, etc, the average age is younger than that, but I don't know exactly since I never lived in those places. Also, in the US if you are younger than 17, you can't get legally married (in the US) without written permission from your parents.

So what will you all recommend to find a suitable person

That seems sensible.  If you are adult and you meet a suitable spouse and belive that the two of you could make a life together, marry them.  Do not marry anyone before you have met this person, and do not delay after.

Averages are merely (and rather imperfectly) reflections of a trend, and not the basis of some inviolable rule.

There's no 'expiry date' as such past which you cannot marry. Don't rush into marriage. People end up regretting it more than regretting not marrying young.

There's an anecdote related to Shaykh Wahid Khurasani (ha) that comes to the mind. A lady once complained to him that she has been praying to get married for some time, but her prayers are not being answered. She's advancing in age, her brothers tease her, what should she do? The Shaykh contemplated for some time and replied that the wish has been granted, but Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is delaying its fulfilment till the opportune moment appears.

It so happens that sometimes that our wish may be granted by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), but He may delay its actualization till the time is right for us. For instance, He may well have picked a suitable husband for you, but He's delaying your marriage until the husband is financially stable, or he's finished with his studies, or emotionally mature enough to commit to you for life.

The qadar of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is unfathomable. Have patience. Don't be rushed by peer pressure.

District of Columbia (16)? And 15 for girls in Mississippi.
