Basic Members Botak Posted March 28 Basic Members Report Share Posted March 28 Assalamualaikum Wrb So for the last few months whenever I start doing Salat or reading Quran I would start yawning and get incredibly sleepy, at first its just some yawning when reading long Quran text so I thought that its normal, but then after a few weeks I keep yawning when I Salat, ranging from 3 to 10 yawn per salat, and now whenever I read the Quran I always get sleepy. The strange thing is when I finished the Salat/ reading Quran the sleepines is gone, like I would almost fall asleep when reading a Surah and then right after I said Shadaqallahul adzim the sleepines instantly gone. Any ideas at why did this happen? Thanks and sorry for bad english
Veteran Member layman Posted March 29 Veteran Member Report Share Posted March 29 Salam, This is my understanding and analysis. 1. Don't make your salat / reading Qur'an when you are too tired. 2. Don't make the salat/ reading Qur'an when your stomach is full. 3. Psychologically, when you start the salat/reading Qur'an, in your your mind don't treat the situation as my resting time. We usually go to sleep when we tell ourself this is my resting time. 4. Connect the self to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) first before make salat or reading Qur'an. Meaning make preparation before make salat /reading Qur'an. It starts from what to dress, making wudhu in proper way, read duas that we understand the meaning. Glorify Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), ask forgiveness and make salawat before making salat/ reading Qur'an. 5. Put the musalla, prayer carpet at best or dedicated place in the house. Not just any place. 6. Ensure that Syaitans don't dominate your mind and souls. I sometimes tell the syaitans, if you are within or with me during my salat, it means you are together with all Khalifatullah, in particular Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), all the Prophets since Adam (عليه السلام) and myself making sujud and worshipping Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). It means syaitans must accept Adam (عليه السلام) if they are with you during salat. 7. I sometimes dedicate salawats to syaitans before salat so they will feel the barrier between ourself and them. That wall is a barrier that can't cross. The sword from reading the salawat will cut them like onion. Syaitans will attack, but their number also finite. They will not give up and will attack back after prayer. But, we know that salat can protect us until the next salat time. 8. Make solat on time... it is like traveling on first class train. If we delay, it is like travelling on 3rd or no class. But, don't miss the salat. First class train is well protected. Wallahualam... I dont know if this is related or not, but everytime I do Salat I got easily distracted, i dont know why or how, but my brain seems to bring back weird or dirty memory everytime I am praying, and when I get back to my sense I already forgot which rakaat I am praying, so it could be Shaytan. Though when I read the Quran, I dont get distracted at all instead I just got insta hit by sleepiness after 5 or 7 ayat. 4 hours ago, layman said: 7. The sleepiness hit the same wether I salat early or late, Salat Dzuhur right after adzan? Sleepy and distracted, Salat Dzuhur at 4pm since your to busy playing games and daydreaming? Also sleepy and distracted. Thanks for the suggestion tho
