Addiction & recovery in the Muslim community esp amongst women

Hi, 

I would like to explore the topic mentioned above in more depth by connecting to people who are interested in the same issue.  There is a lot of work to be done in this area from where I am sitting, but I am sure that much must have already been accomplished.  I work in a rehab which is staffed predominantly by white British staff and used by white British service users.  Being a Muslim, Asian women in recovery herself, I am sure there must be other's who have, or are going through the challenges of recovery or have come through the other side.  Who, where, are you, how are you?  I would like to work in thie area but am not sure where to start so maybe we can help eachother help others.
