Salam Alaykom my respected brothers and sisters,

Bism Allah,

I really need help right now I am lost.

So to understand my situation I need to explain a few things.

I partnered up with a non-Muslim friend of mine on a project, we were going to sell some stuff online, a product that I would rather not say. So we get an investor take to handle all the money stuff and my job was basically marketing and fulfillment and my friend/partner job was the same thing but less fulfillment as I was supposed to handle that.

We start ads and everything is going really well, we do some good numbers but it was around Chinese New Years time, so since its Chinese New Year the supplier doesn't work around that time and before that we had problems with getting the orders situated because there was a problem with export. So basically since we couldn't ship anything for a month, we got alot of chargebacks and it got shut down.

I though we will ship the remaining orders and I insisted many times to do that, I contacted my friend many times and even messaged the investor but my friend kicked me out of the group chat. He said basically everything is gone and we are not gonna ship the order. I still try my best to get them to ship the orders but he says the store got shut down, we didn't make anything and there is no point. I keep telling him that we have to do it and we can't just leave the customers like that.

What can I do? What should I do? Is there anything I did that is wrong? Even if I try to pay for the orders I don't have that much money to even pay for them. I am lost, is it my fault? Am I at fault? Please someone help with the shariah law and what would my part stand in this? Btw I am the one who gave the product and store idea to my friend and he then later on added that investor.

Thank you guys for everything!

Salam you have not done anything wrong based on Shria law but on the other hand must have had a reliable & strong contract with your friend & investor in order to you define your rules &7 responsibilities besides of putting lines in contract in case of happening these situation which if you rreally want to continue your business you must make a strong & clear contract with your future partner which if ou want pay for orders you must do it between your means which doesn't lead to your bankrupty .

O you who have faith! When you contract a loan for a specified term, write it down. Let a writer write with honesty between you, and let not the writer refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write, and let the one who incurs the debt dictate, and let him be wary of Allah, his Lord, and not diminish anything from it. But if the debtor be feeble-minded, or weak, or incapable of dictating himself, then let his guardian dictate with honesty, and take as witness two witnesses from your men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women—from those whom you approve as witnesses—so that if one of the two defaults the other will remind her. The witnesses must not refuse when they are called, and do not consider it wearisome to write it down, whether it be a big or small sum, [as a loan lent] until its term. That is more just with Allah and more upright in respect to testimony, and the likeliest way to avoid doubt, unless it is an on-the-spot deal you transact between yourselves, in which case there is no sin upon you not to write it. Take witnesses when you make a deal, and let no harm be done to the writer or witness, and if you did that, it would be sinful of you. Be wary of Allah and Allah will teach you, and Allah has knowledge of all things. (282)

O you who have faith! Do not eat up your wealth among yourselves unrightfully, but it should be trade by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves. Indeed Allah is most merciful to you. (29)

murder

In a part of the verse on trade, it is mentioned that suicide and killing others are prohibited. [13] The commentators have said about the connection between suicide and killing others with the wrongful seizure of people's property: if people's transactions and trades are not based on consent and Sharia, they will be taken from each other. angry and may harm themselves and others. [14] The author of Tafsir Noor suggested that the reason why the prohibition of murder, "la taqtuloo" «لا تَقْتُلُوا came after the prohibition of eating Haram , "la takuloo"لا تَأْكُلُوا», may be that a unhealthy economic system , It becomes the basis for the uprising of the deprived against the oppressors and the emergence of conflicts and the occurrence of murder and destruction in society. [15] Also, according to Tabarsi's opinion, "Don't kill yourself" means to avoid sins and haram transactions, which lead to people's anger and cause disputes and disputes. [16] It is also quoted from Imam Baqir (عليه السلام), Suicide is fighting with an enemy that is stronger than a human being. [17] Allameh Tabatabai considered this narration as one of the examples of suicide. [18] Some people believe that eating Haram wealth is actually suicide and destroying one's life and society.
