Asalam o Alaikum brothers and sisters

I was finding it hard to understand the verse of surah sajda 32:5

A time frame has-been mentioned of a thousand years

I wanted to ask that is this time frame of Allahs dimension because as far as Allah is superior than time itself so time shouldn't work on Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)

Or did i get it wrong kindly explain this verse to me

JazakAllah

Salam

Are Allah's days equal to 1000 years or 50000 years?
question
Are Allah's days equal to 1000 years or 50000 years?
Indeed a day with your Lord is like a thousand years by your reckoning. (47) Surah Hajj
He directs the command from the heaven to the earth; then it ascends toward Him in a day whose span is a thousand years by your reckoning. (5) (5) Surah Al-Sajda
The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day whose span is fifty thousand years. (4) ! (4) Surah al-Ma'arij.
In the end, which one is true?
Brief answer

The word "یوم" or "day" is used in different meanings, each of which has its own meaning, and you can see phrases in which, from this word or any other word; several times and each time in the same sense; has been used, without any contradiction appearing in these expressions, because in the contradiction of two sentences, there must be eight common directions between them, which is not the case in your question. Because the first verse aims to show Allah's patience and forbearance, and the second verse refers to the time of each stage of the descent and ascent of Allahd's commands and measures, and the third verse indicates the duration of the event of resurrection, which will take place in several stages.

Detailed answer

The answer to your question should be followed in three axes, which include examining the meaning of "yum""یوم" or "day" and knowing the conditions of contradiction, and finally whether the verses you stated are contradictory or not?

First of all, we must pay attention to the word "yum""یوم". In the Arabic dictionary books, different meanings are stated for Yum,"یوم" some of which are:

1- From sunrise to sunset.

2- All 24 hours including day and night.

3- absolute time

4- blessing

5- incident and event (occurrence) and... [1]

Quote

For example, if we state in two sentences that: A: "There are 24 hours in a day"

B: "Nowruz day is 13 days", no one will accuse us of contradiction, because the day used in the first part of the second sentence is in the absolute sense of time, not 24 hours. Based on this, the two sentences expressed do not have unity in the subject to cause contradiction in the speech. And this is like saying in a similar case that A: "Exams will last 15 days"

Quote

B: "On the day of the exam, no absence will be justified" where the word "day" is first used in the meaning of a 24-hour day and then in the absolute sense of time, which can be considered more than 24 hours, and this expression is also literary And logically, it will not have any problems.

Such different uses of the same word are very common in the common words of the people, and considering that the Holy Quran was also revealed in the language of the people, it has used the same method in many cases. For example, we read in the verses:

Verse 5 of Surah Hajj; It is about the warning to the unbelievers who always requested the Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) to send down divine punishment for them in order to prove his prophethood and truthfulness, and with this request, they want to pretend that if no punishment is sent down, then the Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) p) He is not truthful in his claim of prophethood (Nastajir Belleh)!

In this regard and in order to respond to these polytheists, Allah says that even though you are in a hurry, there is no hurry in Allah's work, and your thousand years are like one day to Allah! was given [5]). Based on this, it is stated in the next verse that perhaps the areas where we gave them a lot of respite despite the fact that their people were oppressive...[6]

Anyone who has a little knowledge of the art of rhetoric knows that a thousand years in this verse has no special character, but it is only to show that Allah has no haste in punishing his enemies, just like two thousand years and more for Allah is like a day because time is basically irrelevant to Allah.

Cases like this, where the time is mentioned, is only for the purpose of introducing something and its exact amount is not considered, it is seen in many verses of the Quran, such as:

A- Verily, the Day of Resurrection is like the blink of an eye or less than that for us.[7]

B- The implementation of our orders is done in the blink of an eye.[8]

C - The creation and awakening of all of you will be the same as the creation of only one of you [9]. And ... .

All the verses that have been expressed in this way indicate the meaning and concept that because human beings live in a limited time frame and have limited power, they cannot find out how God behaves, but rather evaluate it with their own standards. If the same person leaves the fence of the worldly life, time and place will have a different meaning for him, just like on the Day of Judgment and considering its time span, he himself thinks that the whole time of his worldly life has not been more than one night or one day.  [10]!

2- Verse 5 of Surah Sajdah is related to how the world of creation is planned by God, although we will never be aware of all its secrets, but in this verse, with a brief reference to it, it is stated that the divine order comes from The sky to the earth and its return to the sky will last a thousand worldly years at each stage, and this verse is not exclusive to the Day of Judgment, but even now, all creations are under the cover of Allah's plan and order.

Based on this, what is mentioned in this verse is only the time to fulfill each stage of Allah's commands and it is not stated exactly how many stages of it happened in this world and the Day of Judgment and  how much of the world of the hereafter will be in several stages of it!
