Comet c/2022 e3 & Hadith?

Asalamu-alaykoom,

For those that have read the hadiths about the “Warner” star that was prophesied by several of our Imams ((عليه السلام)), what do u think about comet c/2022 e3 that’s currently visible apparently to the naked eye as of last night and tonight?

 

Theres even a Hadith that states that the star they prophesied about, was first seen when God (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) created the Earth.. and scientists are saying that this star made its first journey to us roughly 50 000 years ago (and may never even return ever again).. and then there’s hadiths about when you see this star, gather/collect food for a year (bcuz famine and diseases and wars will begin

Salam. The news story about the comet said look at Polaris (the North Star) at night and the green colored comet would be noticeable.

Yes I know, but my question I guess wasn’t clear lol..

what I meant to ask was, does any1 believe that this could be the star the Hadith’s was referring to, before the zuhour of our imam (a.j)?

I’m sorry brother but this is most definitely not what I was referring to and I think you’re taking those hadiths out of context as well but that is another subject/topic that can be discussed another time.

How do you get that this is the same Star / comet that will come out before the appearance of Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام)?

In another narration from Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) it is stated:

"When Abbasi reaches Khorasan, a comet will rise in the east. The first time it dawned, it was for the destruction of Noah's people, when Allahd drowned them. It rose [the second time] during the time of Abraham ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), when he was thrown into the fire and when Allah destroyed Pharaoh and his companions, and [the third time] when Yahya son of Zakaria was killed. So whenever you see it, seek refuge in Allah from the evil of fitnas. The rise of this star will be after the capture of the sun and the moon. Then [Bani Abbas] do not delay (they do not last) [except for a short time], until Abqa is revealed in Egypt. 2

  In another narration it is stated:

"From the signs of near emergence: .. The rising of a bright star in the east, which shines like the moon, then its two sides bend as if its two sides want to connect to each other. [Then] the appearance of red in the sky [is] to be scattered in the space.

Ibn Masoud says:

In the month of Safar, it will be a sign and a comet will be revealed. 8

Imam Ali ((عليه السلام).) was asked about the interpretation of "Tariq" (walker in the night), he said:

"It is the most beautiful star in the sky, while people do not know it..."9

Again, we read in the "Holy Qur'an":

"Wait for the day when the sky produces clear smoke, this smoke that covers people is a painful torment."10
Imam Baqir ((عليه السلام).) said:

 

Imam Ali ((عليه السلام).) was asked about the interpretation of "Tariq" (walker in the night), he said:

"It is the most beautiful star in the sky, while people do not know it..."9

"Before the rise of Qaim ((عليه السلام).), people are restrained from their sins by the fire that appears in the sky and the redness that covers it."

Sheikh Mufid (رضي الله عنه) said:

If you see a red star that you don't recognize and is not in the path of the stars, and it moves from one place to another in the sky and is like a pillar, even though it is not a pillar, then without a doubt, such a thing is a sign of war, calamity, death. The rise of elders is the increase of wickedness and sorrows and chaos among the people. 5

Imam Baqir ((عليه السلام).) said:

"Before this (the emergence of Qaim), the eclipse of the moon will occur five days before the end of the month of Ramadan and the eclipse of the sun will occur on its fifteenth day of it, and at this time, the calculations of the astronomers will be distrubed."6
