Infinite Nature of God's Attributes

Salaam Alaikum,

In the Holy Quran, why do we translate Ar-Rahman, Al-Adl, Al-Karim etc. as The MOST kind, The MOST just, The MOST generous when I believe an exactly accurate translation would yield simply The kind, The just, The generous, etc.

In essence, I desperately seek to ask you dear brothers and sisters, how do we know Allah is infinite? How do we know His mercy, His justice, His attributes are infinite?

I would appreciate so dearly any responses; this has been a problem that I have not been able to resolve myself, and has left me weaker in my religious duties, with whispers that Allah is perhaps not infinitely merciful or infinitely loving.

By definition, infinite is any thing whose beginning or end ( at least one point) is not known or cannot be known. For "Wajib ul Wajood" (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), neither the beginning nor the end is knowable except the fact that He Himself is Al-Awwal & Al-Aakhir. And that exactly suits to Him to say that.

There could be two or even more possible ways to answer this question. 

Since He Himself is infinite, therefore His attributes would become infinite too. 

We are unable to imagine since when He is merciful & till when He becomes merciful, we only know that He is "The Merciful" (beginning & end solely ends up on Him or on His very being) & His mercy has encompassed every thing وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ  (7:156)
