The Asch Conformity Experiment

Asch used a lab experiment to study conformity, whereby 50 male students from Swarthmore College in the USA participated in a ‘vision test.’

Using a line judgment task, Asch put a naive participant in a room with seven confederates/stooges. The confederates had agreed in advance what their responses would be when presented with the line task.

Over the 12 critical trials, about 75% of participants conformed at least once, and 25% of participants never conformed.

This reinforces my honest belief in the 80/20 rule or a rough approximation.

Peer pressure is a force that is not easily dissuaded.

Its these non conformists ( to obvious wrong ...not all non conformists)  who have strength of character,  fortitude and self respect.

Have not had a chance to watch the video yet. Looks very interesting as described. How long is the video?

Amazing video in the OP. Maybe that was the time when people were afraid to disagree with "team members". Today it seems that lots of people are more than willing to disagree with others.

Reminds me my mathematics lectures where the professor ask question in zoom and majority just answer the same answer of what other student wrote and then sometimes it ends to be wrong.

Also this reminds me of circular thinking.

Here is a recent longer alternative version, showing the dangers of conformity.
