Should i look for a spouse

Is it practical to look for a wife while still studying in university? Or should I wait until I have a degree and career?

Moreover, is there any point to being married if you will both still be living in separate houses?

Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) have said on many occasions that the younger you get married, the better. But obviously, if getting married while still in uni will cause more harm than good, I think it'll be better to wait. I don't know.

If there is no other obstacle, get married ASAP. Even if you don't have a stable career yet. 

This exact question was posed to Shaykh Makarem Shirazi (ha), and the marja also replied that the better thing to do would be to get married ASAP, even if you are still a student with no income of your own. Even if the spouses still live with their parents and not together, the mere realization that the two of them belong to each other will be a great mental deterrent for either partner from falling into haram.

As soon as you found a potential case, marry her. Regardless of what stage of life you two are in.

If you come across someone suitable, I would suggest that you get married. There's nothing wrong in living in separate houses initially and it may just make the transition into living together easier as you'll both know one another better at that point.
