The page you requested does not exist

Salam. I met a Christian from Everett on a facebook group and he says he fasts as a Christian and wants to learn more about the philosophy of fasting from Muslims as well. So that he can benefit from it to the fullest. And because he sounds sincere and more importantly pro-Palestine real Christian (not one of the zionist so-called christians), I suggested him shiachat. But he says, when he clicks on the link, it says "The page you requested does not exist". So I tried it myself and I get the same warning.

A friend told me it might be because of the bandwith limit but it is not. And we figured it out that, when people click on the links of shiachat on facebook, the link on the new tab has some additions in the end, like;

http://www.shiachat.com/?fbclid=andwholelotoflettersandnumbers

And when we click on it, shiachat website wants to show a thread instead of the homepage. And it can't find the thread, so we get this warning.

I am guessing it might disappoint and deter lots of new visitors. Could you fix it?

I am sure there are many ways of doing it. But the simplest one is to edit your 404 NOT FOUND PAGE. You can insert there a redirection code, so that people is automatically directed to the shiachat homepage instead of seeing the warning.

Salam, islamicmusic. If he gets that 404 message, just look above it, to the left side, and there is a link that says HOME. He can click on that.

If you are on your phone, look for the share link below the topic and click on it. On a computer, look for the three dots in the upper right corner and click to copy the share link.

I shared the link of the homepage. So, we shouldn't be getting the 404 error page. I am guessing it is because of the additions in the link which facebook automatically adds itself.

And it could be fixed by editing the 404 page (adding a redirection code to the homepage). Just saying so that people are not discouraged because of the warning. Thanks.
