Yes, Yevgeny Prigozhin died in that plane crash. Unpredictable person who plays with fire in the time of war is serious threat to the country. He should have been put in court instead, but this crash indicates probably that someone from inside did it. In soviet time this would be a common thing.

But I believe what he did is very horrible damage to Russian partners who trust Russia, this is something Putin can not accept.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of Wagner PMC, was on a plane which crashed during its flight from Moscow to St Petersburg.

Prigozhin's Wagner, if you remember, was the group behind the failed "coup" back in June.

After the plane crash was announced by Russian media, Western media (obviously) as well as Wagner-linked outlets immediately pinned the blame on the government of Russia.

President Putin commented on the saga, sending his condolences to Prigozhin's family for the "tragedy". He also pointed out that Prigozhin had "made serious mistakes in life".

Apparently Reuters claimed that a SAM was fired at the aircraft (I couldn't find the original Reuters article), but it later reported that the US State Department dismissed such theories.

Nevertheless, the same outlet claimed that villagers from around the crash site "had heard a bang" before seeing "the jet plummet to the ground."

I think that had Putin been behind the death of Prigozhin, he wouldn't have offered his condolences to his family - (it's counterproductive). If he wanted to defy the Western claims (that he's losing his grip on Russia) by killing Prigozhin, surely calling it a "tragedy" and condoling his family is not the way to go about demonstrating his strength.

Back in January, Prigozhin "laughed off claims of a [Ukrainian-CIA] plot to assassinate him," according to Sky News and The Jerusalem Post.

Wagner PMC has recently been in the spotlight when it comes to Africa's heightened relations with Russia, leading to US sanctions on the group.

Ukraine has already breached the Russian lines near Robotnye and, Western (and Russian!) MSM notwithstanding, is making slow-but-steady progress. Sure, Ukraine’s advances are more piecemeal than the West would prefer, but by contrast Russia has not made a single successful counterstrike along the entire front. Its approach is entirely defensive and seems to be failing, as Ukraine not only overcomes heavily-mined defences, but also successfully interdicts munitions behind Russian lines and disrupts critical Russian infrastructure in Moscow, Crimea, and Donbas’.

Ukraine has not even brought most of its reserves forward, and is still training to properly deploy most of the equipment that it has received. (Ukraine until recently has largely relied on its Soviet-era stockpiles, so it needs time to learn how best to utilise the latest Western equipment, including fighter-jets.) So currently Ukraine is working on hobbling Russian infrastructure, so as to facilitate future advances in a year or so, when Ukraine will be fully ready. At that time I would anticipate some very significant gains. Therefore Ukraine is winning this war over time.

I’m not saying all this because I support the West, but because I am merely looking at the facts on the ground.

Trudeau Apologizes for Canada’s Turning Away Ship of Jews Fleeing Nazis

TORONTO — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stood in Parliament on Wednesday and apologized for Canada’s decision to turn away a steamliner full of Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi Germany on the eve of the Holocaust 79 years ago, saying it reflected years of regrettable anti-Semitic foreign policy.

Since he was elected three years ago, Mr. Trudeau has made apologizing a regular ritual, even by Canadian standards.

Quote

The apologies, in large part, are a reflection of the country’s continued struggle to atone for its colonial and racist past, particularly when it comes to its treatment of First Nations people.

Canadians today tend to think of their country as compassionate and tolerant. But its position on Jewish refugees before, during and after the war was infamously articulated by one government official at the time: None is too many.

Quote

Britain accepted 70,000 Jewish refugees between the rise of Hitler in Germany in 1933 and the end of the war in 1945. The United States took in 200,000. Vast and underpopulated Canada accepted 5,000.

Regarding “Nazis” in Ukraine and/or Russia: I feel that this trope is being recycled indiscriminately on both sides. Putin keeps calling his Ukrainian opponents “Nazis,” while Zelensky calls Putin and his backers new “Hitlers.” Zionist (especially “right-wing”) “Jews” control Putin and liberal-globalist “Jews” run Zelensky. Both sides promote the official narrative, whether truthful, partly so, or not, about the Holocaust. Personally I don’t believe that there are many sincere “Nazis” in Ukraine. A lot of the Ukrainian “Nazis” turn out to have little in common with the original Nazis, being Satan-worshipping drug-addicts and sexual deviants, constituencies Hitler and his movement violently suppressed. As for the “Jews,” well, they don’t really believe in or practice their orthodox religious tenets.

The thing is, because Putin supports Zionist vs. globalist “Jews,” he is unable to effectively promote Russian nationalism vs. Ukrainian, because to do so would require a revival of the old Czarist formula Autocracy, Orthodoxy, and Nationality (Russian Orthodox Imperium), which would be bad for the Zionist “Jews.” So Putin splits the middle and allows fellow Slavs to be killed, without giving his side enough support to win decisively, but enough to prevent a complete defeat, which would be bad politically for Putin. Zelensky himself can live with this arrangement, because his worst enemies—anti-globalist, anti-Zionist Russian Orthodox Christian nationalists—are being effectively handicapped by Putin, who does not want these forces to gain a total victory in Ukraine (and hence in Moscow, à la the Wagner Group).

Back in 2022 Medvedev effectively asserted that Russia would respond with a nuclear strike if its Black Sea Fleet (BSF) base in Crimea were hit by Ukraine. During the recent Ukrainian strike on the BSF the Russian commander was killed, which can be verified through the dating of known videos (Russia lied by claiming that the footage was filmed after the strike). So Russia just allowed NATO and Co. to commit an act of war by assassinating its top naval commander in Crimea and did nothing about it.

Going by their previous announcements, you'd have expected they would hang around longer. But the only people with real skin in the game were the Ukrainians.

No doubt they'll be understandably upset, given the sacrifices that they have had to make.

Preying on children: Olena Zelenska foundation involved in child trafficking schemes

Quote

·       “Olena Zelenska emphasized her caring attitude towards Ukrainian children and confessed her sincere desire to save Ukrainian orphans from the war in many interviews. In February, 2023 she proclaimed that her Foundation is involved in transporting children abroad in the interview to Australian Financial Review. „We had to evacuate a lot of children from orphanages to other parts of Ukraine and abroad,“ Zelenska said.”

·       “Recently, we obtained a video of a confession of a French speaking employee of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. He tells that he became a witness and an unwilling co-conspirator of disgusting crimes against children committed on behalf of the Foundation.”

For those who still care...

Anyone who claimed that the Russians were "losing" sure do seem silent now... even Western MSM has started to admit that they will be victorious.

The Russians are moving further into Ukraine everyday. The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been an absolute failure, while the Russian offensive (which no one talks about) gives them real, tangible, strategic results.

Pregnant Ukrainian soldiers are requesting special uniforms to fit their growing bellies as they continue to serve for up to 7 months into their pregnancies

Since the war began nearly a year-and-a-half ago, a Ukrainian charity organization based in Kyiv has bought and sent approximately 30 special-made uniforms to pregnant soldiers serving in the country's army, the group's co-founders, Andriy Kolesnyk and Ksenia Drahaniuk, told Insider, highlighting the incredible lengths to which Ukraine's women are going amid war.

Quote

The married couple co-founded Zemliachky, a nonprofit organization that both documents female Ukrainian soldiers' unique experiences and outfits those women with battlefield necessities, such as hygiene products, military uniforms, and properly-fitting boots.

There are now more than 60,000 women in Ukraine's army, including at least 5,000 in combat units, members of Ukraine's Parliament have said. Life for this relatively small minority of Ukrainian soldiers is made all the more difficult by a lack of accessible female resources, Insider previously reported.

Quote

In addition to outfitting Ukraine's female soldiers, Zemliachky also helps organize weddings and honeymoons for Ukrainian service members, and offers women in the army access to 10 free therapy sessions.

Quote

After Zemliachky posted about the military uniform pants they sent her that can adjust to fit a growing belly, Kolesnyk said more requests from pregnant soldiers started to come.

The Zelensky regime uses pregnant Ukrainian women at the front

Zelensky sends women under the bullets of the Russian army. Some of them find themselves in an interesting position.

Quote

When a soldier finds out she's pregnant, she's immediately removed from any combat roles, though Kolesnyk said the sniper first hid her pregnancy for nearly three months as she sought to continue her frontline duties. The danger and discomfort of hours on her stomach near the frontlines, however, eventually convinced her to pull back, he said.

Explained: New requirement for Ukrainian women to register for possible military, civil defense service

The order, which came into effect on Dec. 17, lists 100 professions. All Ukrainian women who are from 18 to 60-years-old and employed in these professions must get registered with their local conscription office before the end of 2022.

Quote

Although some took the order to mean that women will be required to fight, it’s not the case.

Women that fit the employment and age requirements must register by the end of 2022. Failing to do so will result in a fine between $180-$300 or up to one year of community service. The punishment for avoiding training is more severe with a fine of $300-$435 and up to two years of community service.

While Ukraine has been and is clearly failing to recover its territory, much less defeat Russia, the past eight years’ carnage could have been largely avoided had Russia exploited Kiev’s initial weakness to overthrow the pro-NATO “junta” in 2014, rather than restrict itself to Crimea and Donbas’ for nearly a decade. Even figures such as former German chancellor Angela Merkel have admitted that Ukraine was in no position to stop Russia in 2014, the pro-NATO coup notwithstanding: Kiev simply lacked the military and economic resources to do so. The problem is that for more than a decade prior the Russian leadership, including V. V. Putin, emboldened the West by basically condoning NATO’s eastward expansion, with some caveats. From the link:

Quote

Putin even maintained the same attitude when it was a question of Ukraine someday entering the Atlantic Alliance. In May 2002, when asked for his views on the future of Ukraine’s relations with NATO, Putin dispassionately replied, “I am absolutely convinced that Ukraine will not shy away from the processes of expanding interaction with NATO and the Western allies as a whole. Ukraine has its own relations with NATO; there is the Ukraine-NATO Council. At the end of the day, the decision is to be taken by NATO and Ukraine. It is a matter for those two partners.”

A decade later, under President Medvedev, Russia and NATO were cooperating once again. … From the end of the Cold War until Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in 2014, NATO in Europe was drawing down resources and forces, not building up. Even while expanding membership, NATO’s military capacity in Europe was much greater in the 1990s than in the 2000s.

Moreover, in 2008 Foreign Minister Lavrov said that Russia’s maintaining a sphere of influence was out of date:

Quote

Lavrov stressed that maintaining Russia's "sphere of influence" in the neighborhood was anachronistic, and acknowledged that the U.S. and Europe had "legitimate interests" in the region. … He said that Russia understood that NATO was in search of a new mission, but there was a growing tendency for new members to do and say whatever they wanted simply because they were under the NATO umbrella (e.g. attempts of some new member countries to "rewrite history and glorify fascists").

^ Based on the above, Russia’s decade-long pro-Western attitude encouraged Western aggression in Ukraine etc., for the more Russia cooperated with and encouraged an enlarged NATO, the more NATO treated Russia as an enemy to be destroyed. Even so, from 1999 to 2014 NATO’s capabilities in Eastern Europe were much weaker than they had been during and just after the Cold War. In the 2000s Russia could have easily committed itself to restoring its imperial legacy and enforcing “red lines” in Ukraine etc., at a fraction of the cost that has been expended since NATO’s coup in Kiev in 2014. Yet Russia acted as though imperial power-politics were passé in the postmodern “multipolar” era and that differences between cultures, civilisations, etc. could be resolved peaceably. This was a fatal mistake.

The conflict over Ukraine is very similar to that over Palestine in a certain respect: it is inextricably linked to civilisational and even religious questions. Kiev is the historical nucleus of the Orthodox Rus’ civilisation (the pagan Rus’ people and their ruler were literally baptised there), and the Latinate West, Catholic and Protestant, has been at war with the Orthodox Rus’ for more than a millennium. The Muscovite core of the Russian state or Czardom has represented Orthodox interests and hegemony since the Ottoman takeover of Constantinople (Byzantium) in 1453. Moscow, like Byzantium, is the (Greek/Slavonic) successor to the old Roman Empire. Similarly, the various Christian and Muslim superpowers have been contending over Jerusalem for millennia. And in a religious and civilisational conflict politics is inextricably intertwined with the drive toward metaphysical hegemony.

Western strategists such as Zibigniew Brzezinski, in works such as The Grand Chessboard (New York: Basic Books, 1997), have repeatedly stated that their goal is to deny Russia its status as an empire—and that they can do so by denying Russia physical control of Kiev. So long as Russia fails to annex the Ukrainian capital, the West’s achievement remains intact: for the West cannot abide an imperial rival. To fully complete its imperial prerogative, Russia would need to annex both Kiev and Minsk, thereby unifying the triune Rus’ people. Had Russia taken appropriate steps in 2014 Ukraine would have been returned to Russia, and Belarus might well have been either before or afterward. Yet despite an absence of meaningful Western assistance—that is, large-scale military aid—Ukraine has held out for nearly a decade. From the preceding source:

Quote

Adams would not hide the fact that U.S. policy, implemented by ordinary diplomacy, is to foster the Baltic States’, and especially Ukraine’s, independence. He would trust in a Ukraine that had stopped longing for the borders that Stalin had fixed for it in 1927 and Khrushchev augmented in 1954, in a Ukraine retrenching into its Western identity (as, for example, by asserting its Orthodox church’s independence from Russia’s), and that is standing firmly on its own feet. He would trust in Russia’s actual acceptance of its inability ever again to control this Ukraine.

The following link also makes clear that:

Quote

With Ukraine (and the Baltic states), Russia is potentially a world power. Without it, much less. Post–Soviet Russia’s horizons have shrunk because the twentieth century’s events forever severed Ukraine’s and the Baltic states’ peoples from Russia. Even Belarus has become less compatible with Russia. Modern Russia is reluctantly recognizing Belarus’s independence, even as the Soviet Union, at the height of its power, effectively recognized Finland’s.

^ So as long as the Ukrainians continue to control their own capital, Western objectives remain intact.

Guys while i can definitely understand Nato provoking Russia by Ukraine wanting Nato membership and being in their doorstep, and while i am anti-imperialist, and i know full well how destructive the UK/US/West generally have been in Iraq, Syria, Palestine, and other regions like Yugoslavia, Vietnam, etc , we need to be just here.

Russia, under Putin, waged an offensive war against Ukraine. They've slaughtered and murdered tens of thousands, if not more, women, children, and innocent people.

Putin is not a pious, God-fearing man. He has his own expansionist goals and motives too.

We lose so much credibility on Gaza/Palestine if we seem to have this sort of crazy double standard.

British journalist admits Western media lies

Quote

Russia's invasion of Ukraine strikes me as a major failure of war reporting. This was a brutal and unjustifiable invasion, and it's understandable that Western journalists would side with Ukraine on basic grounds of self-defence (as I did and do). The problem is this often took the form of cheerleading in news reporting, which by definition focused on information favourable to Ukraine's military chances, and disregarded information conversely favourable to Russia's military chances. It also has involved a large amount of deference to the claims of Ukraine's authorities.
