Why are mosques and churches still segregated?

I have never seen a segregated church. Not in real life, not in films. But I like that mosques are segregated. It helps to maintain the purdah between the sexes. The nature of Islamic prayer is such that it may breach the code of modesty if non-mahram men watch women in the act of prayer.

No, i mean segregated according to race or ethnicity.  It's rare in the US to find a racially mixed church.

Ah I see. I should have known. Segregation in the States refers by default to the racial segregation.

NBC NEWS said that Bernie Sanders is up to something. :shifty:

Is Bernie back?: As Biden struggles, Sanders leads a field of Democrats jockeying for the 2024 presidential election campaign

The Young Turks on Twitter said this:

“...Bernie Sanders staffers have been told to essentially have a contingency plan. This has been approved by, apparently, Senator Sanders to have preliminary discussions about what a Sanders 2024 Presidential Campaign would look like in the primaries and in the general election.”

Too late. Sanders is too old for this circus. The democrats rejected him twice when he still had juice left.

The next president of the US will be Donald Trump. Mark my words.

If so, there will be revolution.  Nobody likes Trump except a few brainwashed white supremacist freaks.

I don't think that is true. He got nearly 50% of the popular vote both times he ran for office. Plus, most Republican politicians have thrown their weight behind him, regardless of what he said or did. Only a handful of his own party politicians went against him.

The failures of the democratic party and their shambolic handling of everything the US electorate cares about would bring Trump back. Or someone like him.

I agree with this, but I think it'll be someone else, someone far worse.

Is it just me, or do others also find the practice of Shi'i hijabistas and e-Zakir bois posting pictures of the Ahlul Bayt (ams) 's shrines with cheesy captions like "He can't steal my heart coz you're my heartbeat, O Hussain (عليه السلام)!" or "You're the reason I wake up each morning, O Abbas (عليه السلام)!" or "She's a 10 if she loves Jamkaran as much as you do" extremely cringe? Things have especially worsened since the Covid-19 lockdown when the Instagram crowd also began to flood Twitter.

I mean, that's literally an Imam/Imamzadeh (عليه السلام), not your crush from the college; we could do with some decency here.

I get that people have their personalized ways of showing love for the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام), but still, I feel this is extremely shallow and cheap.

I do hope these youth realize that there is more to loving the infallibles (عليه السلام) than social media slovenliness.

Found out last week, after an angiogram, I have a lesion in the LAD (left anterior descending coronary artery).

After googling to know more, found out that the LAD is called the widowmaker.

Sorry to hear that, hope everything turns out well.

I've read of a rapid rise in heart problems among many people, even youngsters. I find this concerning and wonder if the widespread vaccinations have anything to do with it.

The utter silence on this matter disturbs me greatly.

unfortunately it will keep rising as long as in society there isn't a focus on improving diet. I don't think its the vaccinations, it may be a rare side effect maybe, I'm not sure, but most of these problems come from bad diet, however I'm not saying that's haji's case to be clear, I'm just saying the common trend is that most heart problems, diabetes etc. is a result of sugar and vegetable oils as well as other things like excessive stress. Its also important to note that diet has a massive impact on stress, anxiety, and other mental things and can be the root of depression and other mental illnesses.

Ever since the 1970s things have gone downhill. The pushing of vegtable oils instead of natural fats like butter or animal fat, or the pushing of the low fat diet, which has led to obesity and many other diseases. Corporations really did succeed in their lobbying and because of it millions have passed away prematurely, maybe even tens of millions

I hope Haji you recover inshaalah.

LAD lesions are not to be trifled with or taken lightly bro.

The vast majority of fatal cardiac arrhythmia and cardiac Mortality are from LAD lesions. Now if you exercise regularly can build collaterals, the process is partially reversible with what we call maximal medical therapy.

INDOPAKS are genetically disadvantaged with smaller coronary arteries compared to other ethnicities.

The bigger question if you are still in the UK, in the NHS, you must have had something serious to require a coronary angiogram...unless you had a CT angio, but even then.

Did they consider stenting with a drug eleuting stent?

Do you have a strong family history ....Means first or 2nd degree relatives with early cardiac death...before 50?

smoke? high bad cholesterol and low good cholesterol?   sedentary lifestyle?

Most cardiac disease is truly the result of your genetics unfortunately,  but exercise,  dietary modifications,  and certain prophylactic meds have had evidence of partial reversal of lesions.

Only 3 more weeks of classes, and then as soon as classes are finished I start my new job. I'm starting to get nervous. I've never been expected to speak so much! I'm not much of a talker. I'm going to have to lead children through three 90 minute lessons every day. All my life, it's rare that I say more than 30 minutes of words in an entire day.

It's not that there is silence,  it being reported,  but being de emphasized....tragically.

In most countries the top three cause of Mortality are Cardiac disease,  Cancer and Stroke. Cancer and Stroke change positions depending on country.

The same top three are causes are found with Major Morbidity.

https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/positive-progress-for-16-year-old-who-had-an-out-of-hospital-cardiac-arrest-after-covid-19-vaccination

16 yr old in Singapore gets $225, 000 after  Vaccine induced Acute MI.

https://euroweeklynews.com/2022/01/18/vaccinated-boy-died-aged-6-heart-attack/

6yr old dies of Acute MI,  after covid vaccine.

https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/328529

New study links COVID vaccines to 25% increase in cardiac arrest for both males & females. Study based on data from emergency services. COVID infection itself not linked to significant increase in cardiovascular complications.

Again while these are considered rare complications,  but children who are age 5 to 11 should not be getting Acute MIs.

This is normal a disease which takes years to develop lesions on the vessels which restrict flow enough to cause Acute heart attack.

We need to remain vigilant if we choose to vaccinate our children,  which most major European Health agencies have not recommended yet.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11015235/Health-experts-quitting-NIH-CDC-droves-embarrassed-bad-science.html

In the USA there was a mass resignation of CDC and the NIH of physicians and scientists after Vaccine recommendations im children.

It´s already far worse right now, though I think by 2024 the US hegemony will have diminished to the point where it wouldn´t matter anymore

This is a brothers @Abu Nur and @Cool appreciation post. True mawlā'īs,both of you. The sheer level of privations both of you undergo on various threads and sub-forums out of your gheirah for the love of Ahlul Bayt (ams) and their rights, your patience and perseverance, your jihad al-nafs as well as jihad fi-sabeelillah deserves the highest commendation. It is admirable how you keep engaging beyond the point where many others' patience would get taxed to the level that they'd give up. In this connection I must mention brother @Muslim2010 as well.

Jazakumallah khair, ya ikhwānī. Stay blessed!
