Can Mut’ah Contract Be Done Through Email or Message?

Salam Alaykum!

I would like to know if the mut’ah can be done through email or a message.

For example, both the woman and man agree on the mahr and period beforehand, and then they say the contract through online messaging, let’s an email for text messaging for example.

Is this acceptable? Or would a voice message work as well?

Consult your marja, akhi.

For example, Sistani says on reciting the marriage on the phone:

Question: Is it valid to pronounce the marriage formula through a telephone?
Answer: It is permissible, as long as the marriage contract is recited verbally, over the phone, mobile etc. (not text on its own)

So you couldn't for example do mutah via email alone, it has be verbally recited and confirmed. The voice messaging would work, e.g. Record yourselves saying the contract on Messenger/Telegram.
