Increase in financial speculation

Article explains how a generation of indians are trying to get-rich-quick.

The quotation below shows how trading volumes are now very high and consumers are using high risk financial instruments which could make them richer quicker or poorer faster.

Since only 1% of traders make money - you can imagine the size of the economic dislocation when it happens.

This won't help the social health of the country

India favouring the better-off

Pretty crazy move in my opinion. Money from these taxes on gold could have been used to help the really badly off, instead removal of these taxes allows the better off to buy more gold.

@Haji 2003 Chinese media are now reporting that Chinese-made Pakistani JF-17 successfully used hypersonic missiles to destroy an S-400 system (!), so maybe Russian arms manufacturers can be added as well.

Hi just being a muslim in India is a great problem ; which although the Indian Muslims have not backed up any side but they always -even during peace times- have been accused as being agents of Pakistan by hardcore Hindus likewise BJP & etc which  every time during any flareup/clash between Pakistan & india their situation have been  became worsened much more than previous time ; although they have not backed any side .

Of all the groups that support Israel, the Hindu Nationalists are among the most absurd. Here are a people (Hindu Nationalists), whose country (India) was brutally colonized by the British for two centuries, a fact that they often talk about as being among the motivating factors for their seeking to "reclaim their national pride and identity."

And yet they ally with a settler-colonial regime (Israel), which was essentially imposed on the native people of Palestine by those same British who brutalized India. 

Why? Because the majority of the native population of that land (Palestine) happen to subscribe the same religion as India's Muslims, who were never and are not colonizers, but rather are an integral part of Indian history and civilization. 

My guess is that most people pick up on this absurdity (if only intuitively), which is the reason their reaction to pictures of Hindu Nationalists holding "I support Israel" signs is usually to just laugh. (that combined with their funny untucked button-down shirts + oversized dress pants + sandals outfits).

Alcohol is not haram for Hindus, but as one alcohol industry exec told me a couple of decades ago they do have guilt about consuming it. Looks as if that barrier is being eroded.
