All around the world there has been protests the past few weeks against the lockdown and mandatory vaccinations for certain groups (health workers as of now only?).

travel restrictions, vaccine passports and military intervention in australia. What in the world is going on?? I found clips from france italy and australia and germany.

Why didn't I see this in the media? I found several clips on social media, but not many in the media, why are they so silent about this? What is going on?

European protests continue across the continent as lawmakers persist in pushing mandatory vaccine passports regardless of mass demonstrations against requiring proof of vaccination.

The people of France are rising up against the government, weekend after weekend, to deter French President Emmanuel Macron from enforcing use of a “vaccine pass.”

Last weekend was the third weekend in a row that hundreds of thousands of French people gathered in protest, and, according to Reuters, demonstrations are only growing.

The outlet reported that 204,090 people protested across the country, which was about 40,000 more than the previous week. 14,250 demonstrated in the streets of Paris alone.

French parliament reportedly passed a law last week requiring vaccine passports or “health passes” to access businesses including bars, restaurants, trains, hospitals, etc. The government also made vaccines mandatory for healthcare workers.

One citizen of France said her reason for protesting the new laws is to prevent “a segregated society” from forming based on vaccination status.

“We’re creating a segregated society and I think it is unbelievable to be doing this in the country of human rights,” a teacher, who was demonstrating in Paris, told Reuters. “So I took to the streets; I have never protested before in my life. I think our freedom is in danger.”

One video posted on Twitter shows at tens of thousands of protestors (at least) walking through the streets of France for a third time to express discontent with the new laws.

“Millions are taking to the streets in Paris, Nice, Montpellier, Nantes, Strasbourg, Reims, Toulouse, Marseille, and many more cities across France to protest against vaccine passports and forced mandatory vaccinations,” Simone Gold, a doctor known for her support of Hydroxychloroquine, wrote on Twitter.

“The global pushback is growing. Keep the pressure on,” she added.

The French protests are a continuance of weeks of demonstrations across several major European and Australian cities including Dublin, London, Milan, Sydney, and more.

That's something I respect about the Europeans as opposed to Americans: they still go out and protest things all the time. Americans can only really be bothered to protest when a criminal gets shot by the police or when they're told that they have to get vaccines.
