Does it matter what translation of the Quran you are reading?

I have bought ‘The Quran A new translation by M.(عليه السلام) Abdel Haleem’. Does anyone know if this is a good translation or does it not really matter.

Yes it matters. First of all make sure you read a shia translation. Among shia translators there can be differences in translation of different verses, giving different meanings.
