Hope London does not turn into Sarajevo

Multicultural capital surrounded by a seething mass of angry fascists.

In London, two-thirds of live births last year involved parents where either one or both were born outside of the UK, the highest percentage of such births of all the English regions and Wales.

Russia to Saudi Freight via Iran

Russia can’t export directly to Saudi or is it because Saudi Arabia don’t want any sanctions?

Salam from my point of view from  released pictures it looks like a too horrible sculpture that works against Hijab which face of woman looks like an oppressed sad woman who doesn't has a hand to remove her forced  Hijab .

When the professor of Tehran University has made a statue of a woman wearing an Islamic hijab + photo

The symbol of an Islamic woman, which was installed in front of the door of Nargis Park in District 22, is a tall woman in awe of a Chador.

Some Sunnis are saying that the UK statue is not Islamic anyway because Statues are not allowed. How do we stand on that?

Salam making statue with good  message likewise praising hijab have been allowed in Shia Islam but on the other hand Sunni viewpoint has double standards or even more than that which depends on will of rulers likewise UAE that you can find different types of statues in squares which have been built by order of UAE ruler also this statue in UK looks like an insult to Hijab which has been built under guise of "Strength of the Hijab" which in eye of westerners "Strength of the Hijab" means oppression of women by forcing Hijab on them .

Salam it's about avoiding (refraining from) it based on obligatory precaution which you have interpreted as total banning based on your mindset also I have mentioned differences of Iran & UAE which have more open environment than Iraq although you can find some sculptures in non religious cities likewise Baghdad which there is no sculpture in religious cities likewise najaf & Karbala due to obligatory precaution which you can see many sculptures in Iran which have been made based on Shia Islamic standards by experts while UAE just has followed demands of foreign tourists likewise Zionist Israeli tourists  also main point here about about making ugly sculpture in Smethwick Britain in mane of "strenght of Hijab" which has been made by request of muslims but it has anti Islamic specially anti Hijab message  .:respect:

The appointment of David Cameron as Foreign Secretary is dangerous. As PM, Cameron allowed UAE autocrat Mohammed bin Zayed to dictate UK policy on the Arab Spring and to push Islamophobic policies including insisting on an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood. Since then, he's been on the UAE payroll, supposedly for 'teaching at Abu Dhabi university'. He was the UAE's man in Number 10 and now he's their man at the Foreign Office.

Anti-Zionist British Professor wins case

Quote

The Employment Tribunal has released its judgment in my landmark legal case against @BristolUni, concluding that I was wrongfully dismissed in October 2021 and discriminated against because of my anti-Zionist beliefs. This is not just a victory for me, but also a victory for pro-Palestine campaigners across Britain.
