Brother we all have our vices and haram thoughts.

You can still become a husband and a father. Islam is about discipline and over coming challenges.

Challenge your self to become a good Muslim and inshallah get married.

The main thing is it's just a thought

1)dont act on them.

2)or give these toughts any importance.

You may get them your whole life. But don't act on them. They are not important, they don't define you, just aother haram thought like any other that we all get in some form, nothing major.

Yeah, he can. Oh, please don't say you meant with a wife. Because it's cruel to the wife, to the child, to everyone, to marry someone you don't love. The wife will be unhappy and the child will pick up on it. Please, people really need to stop promoting the idea that gay people should marry the opposite gender.

While I agree that a person with exclusively homosexual attraction shouldn't pretend to be "straight" in order to marry, if the spouse doesn't mind, it's perfectly fine. There is much more to love than physical attraction. A couple who are not attracted to each other can be the best of friends and live a beautiful life together.

Islam forbids same-sex marriage and sex outside of marriage, so it's no loss to live in a sexless marriage, and committed companionship is nice to have, especially as people get older. Just choose the right spouse and live happily ever after. (With the usual difficulties of life.)

Agreed. Certain gays still feel some amount of attraction to the opposite gender whereas others are competely repulsed. If the latter is the case then I would personally not recommend marriage

The important question in this discussion is about idenity.  Where do we find our true and fullfilling idenity?

Is it in marriage (same sex or different sex)?  Is it in sex?  Is it in singelness? Is it in doing religious actions?  Is it in our job?  Is it in our community and family?

All these things give us an idenity of sorts,  but true idenity which gives peace and satisfaction in our inner being can only be found in God.

God made people to reflect his being and so our true idenity can only be found when we stand before him and receive his love and acceptence.

The great thing about God's love and acceptence is that it is unconditional.  It doesn't depend on whether we are guy or streight, married or single.

Knowing and experienceing God's love enables us to deal with our inner desires and feelings in an appropriate way finding ultimate fulfilment in God.

Salaam brother , you should train your soul through extensive sincere meditation , make sincere dua ,listening to Holy Quran a lot , zhikr extensively, istighfar extensively . Meditation and all of these mentioned are cures . Just sit down or lay down close your eyes and exit everything of these blasphemous feelings and thoughts and forget about all of it . Exit all these thoughts and feelings through meditation . Try doing in seclusion and do zhikr a lot , fear Allah as if you can see him . Close your eyes when you meditate and sit still for over 20 minutes attempting sincerely with massive determination to get lust , and evil blasphemy out of your mind , keep through emotions telling yourself exit all these evil feelings and thoughts as you meditate every moment . Has mind blowing effects . Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was meditating so much In the cave before he came prophet . You should meditate extensively with intention and objective of removing lust . Never meditate to lust . Exit lust completely out of your system through meditation , listening to Holy Quran , long extensive zhikr , fearing Allah every moment being conscious of him , seek sincere forgiveness throughout the day and for everything you don't know or remember . Do all this everyday

Hi There - I wonder if all these instructions you give about meditaion and Zhikr will work?

I'm not condoning same sex attraction or trying to make a judgement on what its source is, but if this is part of who someone is, the way God has made them, are we asking the imposible when we give 'methods' for people to change?

There is a famous saying "can a leopard change its spots?"

Guest's post hasn't mentioned the role that God plays in a person's engagement with struggles and personal issues at all.  I believe, and have found, that asking God for help and allowing God to work in my life through the power of his Holy Spirit has enabled me to face alsorts of temptation and to be victorious.

Jesus the Messiah said "I will give you the Spirit of Truth who will guide you into all truth".  Call to God asking for his Spirit of truth and holiness to come and live in your life.  He will then work in you to help you know what is good, right and wholesome and give you the strength to say "No" to things (whether in the area of sexual attraction or in other areas) which are unhelpful or distructive.

Sir how could meditation and zhikr not be cure ? It cures myself of any problem in my life . It's guaranteed to cure . Research has shown this with even non Muslims listening to the holy Quran in crisis scenarios they were cured . It cures all my complicated problems

Because they are about outward activities and not inward change.

Listening to sounds and repeating words however full of God they are, are only external.  I suggest that in our struggle against the challenges of life whether it is in the area of sexual attraction or in other areas like gossip or lieing or anger or violence or pornography, we will only overcme with a transformed and renewed heart given us by God through the power of Jesus the Messiah working in us by his Holy and lifegiving Spirit.

See this verse from the Trustworth Injil (Romans 8:2)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
