In the Name of God بسم الله

Out of the pit

I was thinking of some words writen by The Prophet David about how God helped him.

Psalm (Zebur) 40

I waited patiently for the Lord;
    he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
    out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
    and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
    and put their trust in him.

I drew this picture - seeing the rope as a means for God to come down into our "mud and mire" to rescue us.  What an honour that God himself would lift me out of my mess and place me on a secure place!

Wow, you actually drew that ? Impressive. Reminds me of the Qur'anic verse: "He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you out from the darknesses into the light: and He is full of mercy to the believers." (33:43).

Thanks for sharing this verse.  IT 's a great truth that God is the one who brings us into the light.  We can not do it ourselves.

Peter who was a friend of Jesus the Messiah said  (1 Peter 2:9)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Now we are in the light we have a responsibility to praise and worship our saviour with thankful hearts.
