Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem,

Summary

So I am interested in the average IQ of brothers and sisters on here, so I've devised an anonymous poll. To be clear, I'm not looking for your individual scores, I am just interested in how we do as a forum overall. In the future I might run this poll on a different forum to compare.

You can use this website to test your IQ: https://iqtest.com/

Unlike other IQ tests, this one is more verbal.

(I just picked the first result on DuckDuckGo.)

Who should not take this poll?

Non-Muslims.

What are the requirements for taking the IQ test?

Speak English, aged over 16.

Can I share my result?

Although you can do whatever you wish with it, be considerate to other users who might not wish to share their result. Don't bully anyone into giving their score out. People won't know you've taken the test unless you post below that you have, so don't post anything if you don't want others to know or pester you.

Do I have to pay to get my result?

No it's free, they email it to you. They just give you some further stats if you pay.

I don’t think IQ tests are accurate at all.

When I was 16, my IQ was 136. A different test I took recently gave me 160. This one gave me 115.

Who cares?

This depends on what is asked. lf l asked you to pick the picture of a sythe, do you understand the question? Like wise, if l ask you  identify a "deuce and a quarter", can you do it? These are ~ 1970 questions.

Actually, achievement tests  and problem solving tests do a much better job. You can supplement those with niche oriented interest tests.

This is ridiculous!

No, the OP wants to know the IQ of Muslims. That's perfectly legitimate.

Most online IQ tests skew high because they want to flatter you to convince you to buy more than the basic results. IQ tests also are inaccurate for people who might be genius, but lack verbal skills. And even if the result is accurate, other factors besides intelligence are better indicators of potential achievement.

Bismillahi Irrahman Irrahiim
Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh

According to hadiths the intellect is much much more than just the ability to solve puzzles that are man-made. The strong evidence of this is found in our own self how Allah inspires our hands to write our thoughts, so it becomes obvious that intellect is deeper than the ability to solve trivial puzzles and its core is related to worshipping Allah accordingly. The importance of using mind and intellect to think about signs of Allah has also mentioned the Holy Quran and sayings of the Prophet (SAAS). Thinking and remembering is an act of worshipping and every action is based upon its intention (nyah).

Imam Ali "Contemplation is worship."
ـ اَلفِكْرُ عِبادَةٌ.

The understanding and intellect can not be tested by trivial puzzles but can be recognized by wisdom from intellect itself. This is the character that has morals, knows what needs to be done so that justice and mercy are fulfilled, speaks accordingly, and recognizes oneself as a creation of Allah.

The characteristics of intellects have been mentioned in hadith collections such as al-kafi, but the relationship of intellect and acting according to knowledge has been mentioned in various sources.

Holy Quran has a powerful aya that mentioned that Allah witnesses that"la ilaha illa huwa", and that this witnessing is done also by Angels and those who have the knowledge and stay firm in justice.

There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise” [Quran, 3:18].

Imam Ali "The thought of an intelligent person is guidance."

May Allah purify our intellects and make us serve the right cause as servants of Imam Mahdi (ATF).

Allahumma sallialaa Muhammed wa Aali Muhammed wa ajzel farajahum
