Salam alyikom dear Muslims...

another question:

Please does anyone know where I can find a shayk that can answer my questions( if I have any for the future ), like the ones I ask here in Shia chat?
Ofcourse a shaykh that has time, or a person who is very knowledgeable about  Islam..

please because I live in Deltona and due to Covid I’m not able to go to masjid al hay ( a mosque for Shia )

the problem is that whenever I try to ask questions on al Islam.org nobody answers me... which makes me feel really sad because come on, I’m not saying to give me all your time... you know

I just want my questions to be answered...

Wa alaikum as salam

If you're talking about purely jurisprudential questions with a yes or no answer, then the office of a marja would be adequate.

For some more details on non fiqh topics, you can try:

https://www.islamquest.net/en

For a continuous discussion this forum is a good option, although you need to of course see if members are bringing references or just giving their own opinions.

Salam Alyikom, I just want someone that is knowledgeable who can answer questions about deen...

I’m not sure if the websites work for me... I have tried emailing or asking questions on Al-Islam.org but I would not get my questions answered... at all....

the only thing that makes me feel better is when I post them here on shiachat...

Wasalam sister,

There are some very knowledgeable sheikhs who are pretty active on Facebook/Instagram.

One sheikh who is pretty responsive and gives great answers-Sheikh Zoheir Esmail. If you PM him on facebook, he will respond inshallah.

Another great sheikh who will answer your questions on fb - Shakyk Mahdi Rastani. I find him to be pretty responsive and he's knowledgeable too.

There is also an app called "Ask Those Who Know". It's an app with a lot of Shia scholars around the world and you can get an answer within a day.

Hope that answers your questions.

Walaykom Al-Salam, I would recommend just asking your questions here on the forum, the reason being is that you'll have a collective effort of sincere Muslims who will seek to answer your questions adequately and may even provide a multitude of reasons and explanations. You will also have a sort of safety net in the sense that any wrong response to your question would be quickly checked - most likely by a moderator or a member knowledgeable to what pertains to your inquiry - I can assure you that fiqhi (jurisprudential) matters are pretty straightforward and in reality you'll probably yearn for more of a logical/rational explanation to what is clearly ordained. Therefore, the forum is essentially your best option. Of course with time you will be able to - insha'Allah - answer questions on your own by going to the root or kernel of the source. If you have personal questions that you are uncomfortable in asking publicly, you always have an option to privately message some of the sister moderators who are knowledgeable and kind.

Salam Yeah generally it's permissible if it doesn't cause corruption .

Quote

Ruling on women's makeup in front of their mahrams: The religious authorities (Marjas) believe that there is no problem with women's makeup being seen by their mahrams (such as their brother, father, father-in-law, uncle, etc.); however, care must be taken to ensure that no corruption occurs.

1. Ayatollah Khamenei’s Opinion
Ayatollah Khamenei believes that in Islamic jurisprudence, a little or a lot of makeup does not make a difference in its ruling; that is, if someone has applied makeup in a way that is recognizable to the general public, it is obligatory to cover that makeup from non-mahrams. Of course, he argues that there is no problem with using sunscreen and other things like that that beautify the face to some extent, but are not considered makeup, and a woman who has used such materials does not have to cover her face from non-mahrams.

He also raised important points about the rulings on makeup in response to the following question.

Question: Is there a problem with covering blemishes on the face with special creams and going to places where non-mahrams are present in this situation?

Answer: If only the spots on the face are removed or a cream is used that makes the face shine to some extent (such as sunscreen or whitening cream) and it is not to the extent that the public would say that a person has put on makeup, it is not obligatory to cover it from non-mahrams; but if it is more than this amount and the public would say that a person has put on makeup, it must be covered from the eyes of non-mahrams.

2. Ayatollah Sistani’s opinion
Ayatollah Sistani believes that removing facial hair or pubic hair is not considered an example of makeup and a person who does such things is not obliged to cover his face from non-mahrams; but if she uses makeup powder or special tools for it, it is obligatory to cover his face from non-mahrams. He has also stated that if the makeup is to the extent that it is not considered an adornment, there is no problem in covering it.
