Just read something that was laughably absurd. In.news.yahoo.com (Indian site for Yahoo News) trying to politicize the Shia genocide in Pakistan and making it seem like India is such a great country for Shias

"Jammu Muslim Front condemns killing of 11 Shia Hazara community members in Pakistan"

It goes on to say: "The JMF said Shia and Sunni Muslims live in harmony and feel secure in India, unlike Pakistani Muslims"

Lol, nah.

Human Rights Watch: India: Vigilante ‘Cow Protection’ Groups Attack Minorities

Also, refer to Ashura practices actually being banned in Indian controlled parts of Kashmir

India imposes curfew in Kashmir, bans Ashura ceremonies

I only made this post because it's not the first time Indians (especially Hindu nationalist Indians) tried to use the plight of Shias in Pakistan to try and make it seem like India was so safe for Muslims. It's not.

Ashura procession is banned in Kashmir since 1990s and it is nothing new. Kashmir was never a stable region and insurgency was always present. I do not side or stand against with the government's decision on banning Ashura procession but definitely upset with you overlooking rest of the country. Come to Mumbai, Lucknow, hyderabad and rest other cities, towns and even small villages. We never had restrictions nor fear of commemorating any festival.

About anti-shiism amongst Non-Shias: It definitely exist and they would target us if they had government support like that in Pakistan.
