Sorry but even I find this somewhat offensive and also, I'm not buying that you couldn't help it either, you could; You just chose not to.

Americanization of Iran

Actually, this is a subtext of attacking lsIam.

l have writ this on SC before, yet again:

Prior to my finding this in an Amerikan magazine, these Syrians and Egyptians l knew told this story of the French Navy shelling Algiers to force the children into Catholic schools, "killing 7,000 people." So, foe example, like the young girls there, they go to the Catholic re-education facilities and as soon as they leave school grounds they put their hijabs back on. So in actuality, mass murder to no effect. An Algerian later told me the same thing. Over the succeeding decades, the murder number l found in French and American publications is 5,000, but l forget the political-anti-terrorist excuse the French/NATO used at the time. Which of course is one of the reasons for the Algerian resistance and war.

ln January this year, l read this article about the evilgelicals bemoaning their loss of "biblical input" into American foreign policy because Trump lost the election.

I know green is a sacred color to us but on this website, it looks like vomit. Switch back to white please. :fever:

Thanks . . . now we have gray, green and white. So in looking up which country's flag are these colors, l found none (Northern Marianas is not a country) but it is the colors in the flag for "queer pride"  --whatever that is.

So when the next color(s) is chosen, let us check them for islamic correctness.

Half the site lives here, and everyone has a theory. What's yours?

I believe we are coming to the end of times when God will soon judge the world.  Mankind has turned from the ways of God and turned to their own ways and what seems right in the eyes of man.  Truth is seen as a lie and a lie is seen as truth.  Good is seen as evil and evil as good, as the Word of God has warned us that it would happen.  Not just America, but humanity continues to go down a path of destruction and it is a shame.  There is only a remnant left that follow the path of righteousness and holiness, which we are called to.  My heart aches from the immorality that exists in America.

Then isn’t it ironic that the very people who spend their days criticizing the US are the ones who wouldn’t even last 2 months living “back home”. The way I see it, people are ungrateful. If “The West” is so terrible, they should just leave. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

That's a very unproductive way of thinking and it is very American to criticize and very anti-American to try to censor criticism. If you love something, you want it to be the best that it can be. "Accept me as I am" is the cry of the person who is content in their failure and the same would apply to nations.

Assalam Alikum dear Sister

Congratulations on the birth of Amir al Momineen, the father of the orphans and poor people.

I don't know if you came across Brenee Brown.  She had a viral video about the power of vulnerability.  She explains how Americans numb their problems while they are in debt, obese, addicted and medicated "adult cohort in US history."

@Marcy

This is where she says it 15:22

I agree with this. The problem is that for some immigrants or children of immigrants who criticize the US aren’t critical of, for instance, systemic racism and want to find ways to solve it, but rather, because they hate the US and everything it stands for, raise their children to think of the US as the devil and their “home countries” as the best. All the while, live in beautiful big homes in the US, have great job opportunities, and have a phenomenal quality of life that they know they wouldn’t ever come close to had they stayed “back home”. You can’t bite the hand that feeds you. That’s the way I see it. Every nation and govt has its flaws. They don’t want to improve anything, they just want to complain.

I rarely watch videos - I have difficulty focusing on and hearing words that I don't see - but I will watch this video inshallah. It sounds really interesting.

Edit: oh, it's subtitled! Yay!

I want to understand his reactions. Because I annoy so many  people just like this student annoyed him. I go through different emotions, sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am sad. But it seems like when I am happy, I am too happy. And people get annoyed. I thought there was something wrong with my expressions but now I am wearing mask and I am dealing with same problem. People are so serious. Even when they are joking around they have such serious expressions. I was like that when I was dealing with abuse. I am not dealing with constant abuse now and that's why I guess I get happy but why do other people get so annoyed with seeing me happy? I am so sick of people constantly judging me. When you are working  somewhere for 8 hours, of course you are going to feel different emotions and I am very bad at keeping a straight face. Why am I expected to keep a straight face. I am not an actress, why am I expected to control my expressions? And I am wearing a MASK, how much expressions you can see from someone's eyes really and why is it so hard to ignore even if someone is looking happy.

Why are people so serious and so angry all the time? Are they dealing with abuse? They all look very confident, and they are successful, so why so much anger?

Could it be that your mind is making you think people are that way even if they are why should we waste our time trying to change ourselves when we are fine they way we are.

I realized this very late in 37 years on earth you can not please people and if your deserves are halal they do not be a sacrificial lamb all the time.Only Allah values what we do rest of society will not so if you do anything do it for Allah's sake not anything else.

I care about peoples' opinion because it's effecting my career. Even working at entry level job has become like an election. You have to keep people happy, otherwise they won't let you stay. It's not just in my head because I have noticed it's bigger problem in companies which already have a high turnover rate like CVS pharmacy.  It's my bad luck that I always get hired by companies with high turnover rate.
