I got the old station wagon. On the way home, I wondered whether the fuel gauge was working because it hadn't visibly moved in nearly an hour of driving. (It was fine.) Today I took it to the warehouse store, and it was so nice to be able to use the cargo area and not have to pitch boxes over the seats. Just need to take it for a wash and vacuum.

Anyone want to buy a 2005 Lincoln Aviator?

l found these old, late 1990's, Cryptoquip cards.

0ne of these has the answer: "How, exactly, would you make a Mexican chili? Send him to Alaska !"

My thought: Now that Uncle Joe has put Comrade Kamal ah-Harris in charge of the "border crisis" (which is like giving your wife another credit card) and their policy is to put these illegal aliens on/in military posts, . . .  why send them to Alaska to wait on their asylum/assailum hearing.

Why not just process them as asylum seekers, like international law requires? Wouldn't that solve an entire host of problems?

Why not

Because these runaways are abusing the asylum claim.

There is one young man in my area whose family was politically targeted and he managed to escape from ______. Now he did asylum and was granted it --info from an immigration official. He is now in his twenties.

The immigration courts can determine if the asylum claim is legitimate. That's what they do. That's how the system is supposed to work.

Political oppression isn't the only reason people seek asylum. Environmental refugees are becoming more and more common as the climate becomes more chaotic. As a large economically important and militarily powerful country, we are a significant cause of climate change and have a responsibility to help those hurt by our economic processes.

The United States became powerful when it had a very generous immigration policy. Maybe we're becoming weaker and more conservative now because we stopped welcoming new people with new ways of doing things.

But almost none of these runaways and sneak-ins show up for their court date.

I don't have any statistics on that so I'll have to take you at your word, but they can't drive, work, rent or buy a house, or go to a doctor unless they have legal documents, so it's surely something only desperate people would do.

My uncle in a Chicago suburb said he loved having undocumented neighbors (back in the 80s) because they were always quiet, polite, helpful, and eager to help out with any odd jobs he needed. Maybe you've had a bad experience with an undocumented immigrant, but I never have nor has anyone who I've known.

They can in California and a couple of other states.

Federal law prohibits any kind of denial of medical care.

For my example -excluding the bankrupting of hospitals before Federal financial intervention- is l use to take my ex to the ob/gyn clinic. Once there was a black couple there and another, other time there were these two 7-Day Adventist women. But in all the times l took the 'X' the place was crammed with illegal women and their brats.

l never had a negative experience with Hispanics. A cousin's wife is one.

Some guy in a cooking show . . . then it is a woman and her cookin' show, documentary of she-doesn't-know-how-to-operate-her-own-radio-or-navigate-without-ground-reference-points Anemic Error_art, Christina's (kitchen) Crock, some gurl and her art show, painting show . . . trying commercial TV . . . Martha's Garden, actress Roma Down-n-out on some smile charity scam, some dame screeching about real estate and finally . . . women's flog, errrr golf.

And my little sister cannot understand why l 'hate' women. l can't get away from those 'stupid' talking things.

Yesterday and all this morning, every news outlet, international and local, has gone on-and-on about the faint chance of blood clots from the 0xford-AstraZenica vaccine.

The media is running this story into the ground.

Then there is the hooligans in Northern lreIand. Rioting.

Why? Reportedly they are "frustrated" over Covid policies and that they have the same restrictions as the UK with EU trade.

As EU countries tighten their social restrictions and lockdowns, the US is loosening up on theirs. Parties, concerts, sports events . . . guidelines . . . while Europe is seeing increasing infections.

My thought is: the the US is making a mistake as re-infections by C-19 and new infections of vaccinated people by the B.1.1.7, P.1, B.1.427/1.429 and B.1.351 variants are sweeping South America and is moving north in addition to these variants already here.

Which also raises a question: What are our 'Ieaders' going to say or do if 4,000-5,000 deaths per day reaches US ?

Note: France is selling national properties because the gov't has run out of monies.

As l am reading SC this morning, l have the foreign news on with the volume barely audible.

As the medium reported on the death of Prince Phillip, 99, the woman said he did over 20,000 public engagements before he 'retired' in 2013.

Ahamduallah, it is not me who had this job in life. Kudos for him -just for being able to do it.

I love these situations, when African Americans who serve in the U.S. armed forces face the reality of their existence. The surprise that they exhibit makes the experience even more pleasurable because they've likely ignored the famous phrase:

"No Viet Cong ever called me n****r".

That was in northern Virginia. I read about it yesterday.

Who thought qualified immunity was a good idea? Why do we even have laws which legalize crime for those who are hired to prevent crime? They should be held to a higher standard - at least as high as teachers and minimum wage child care and elder care workers - not a lower one.

l remember this often, Ayat 8:36. l read it again this morning.

This past week l posted about the new, 43 meter idol being erected in Encantado, Brazil. During a Covid catastrophe! Money better spent on medical/public health care, rather than idols.

But that is nothing new. A millennium ago, Europe built cathedrals rather than roads, urban infrastructure and other necessities particular to the technologies of that time. Not too long before the plagues came through.

l watched the "Contest of the Cathedrals"  on youtube this past week. lt is by DeutcheWelle. A good outline of that history, beginning with Charles de Magne.

Looking at the US withdrawing from Afghanistan after 20 years of doing nothing but to cause people to hate them more. I really wonder what they managed to achieve other than that...

I think back to Bushs(la) speeches about "we do not negotiate with terrorists" and his talks about "either with us or with terrorists" and looking how they ended up in Afghanistan is really funny in a sad way.

Fast forward 20 years and the taliban are as strong as ever before, Afghanistan has some powerless phony "government" placed by the US that will die the day the US dont protect them (which they will only do for as long as they obey them). The US had to end up negotiating with the terrorists they went to defeat after all and then withdraw without any measurable change to the situation in Afghanistan. Give it a month and it will all be back where it started.

Heres pompeo(la) negotiating with the "terrorists" himself:

I love history, I really do, everyone can have opinions and assumptions but you cant really argue against history.

Throwback to 2018, WARNING some profanity in the video:

What causes me to be happy is seeing the US humiliated and leaving with nothing, what makes me sad is seeing how they use muslim nations as play grounds for their armies causing my brother and sisters to suffer while the majority of us are sleeping. I pray that our Imam(ajf) will come as soon as possible and wake our dead hearts and our nations with them and I hope the day comes when anyone who made profit out of others suffering will have to pay in suffering as well.

They did it for the opium, probably, and millions of Americans have died from the "Opioid Crisis". We Americans are not enemies of the Afghan people; we are both victims of the same tyrants.

My second dose of Moderna vaccine is this week. Should I pretend to have side effects (if I don't) so that I can take a day or two off?
