Meanwhile, pipes have burst and people's food has started to freeze.

Not only that, people are dying, have already died.

Are there any organizations collecting and distributing blankets, extra socks, winter clothing, kerosene heaters? Are there places for people to go warm up, and transportation to get there? Are social service agencies checking on vulnerable people? What can we do to help?

Watching the coverage of NASA Perseverance attempt to land on Mars.

It's going to look for signs of past or current life and attempt to generate oxygen from in situ materials - this is exciting stuff - but only if it doesn't crash.

As of Wednesday night, deaths attributed to winter-White Power varied from 21 to 30.

Kerosene heaters are dangerous -CO molecules. People are sitting in their cars to keep warm. But forgot to drain their water pipes.

Probably not forgot, never knew.

Yes, you need adequate ventilation to run kerosene heaters, but it's better than freezing. And now they're supposed to boil water without heat?

This is an infrastructure failure at least as much as a natural disaster, and yes, it is caused by "global warming". Scientists have been taking about impending freeze from polar vortex for a month. Shame on the "leaders" who are blaming and not helping.

Bismehe Ta3ala

Assalam Alikum

I just finished watching the Mark Twain Award given to Dave Chappelle.

I'm so mad at Dave for hugging Nasty Pelosi.

He has three children who were with him during the entire special.  He gave them Islamic names, but it must be so confusing being in an environment of alcohol, drugs and explicit sexual vulgar language.

His daughter was with them the whole evening and at the time she was 10 years old.

I noticed his eldest son, Sulayman didn't even crack a smile whenever the camera focused on him.  I hope he can see the paradox between his father's lifestyle and Islam is conflicting.

God remove the love of this life (hub al dunya) from our hearts.

Money and fame can destroy your akheera.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) guide those children Sanaa, Sulayman, and Ibrahim on the straight path.

@Ashvazdanghe

This is what it means to be culturally American:

This is also what it means to be an American (note the general friendliness and difference in mannerisms compared to the British and Australian women):

This is a culturally middle eastern woman:

See the difference?

Cop-out response. You think it’s really okay anywhere in the world to yell the way Middle Eastern people do? Did you even watch the video? This is why Middle Eastern people look like complete psychos to the rest of the world, because they are so unaware of how they make themselves and Islam look.

Bismehe Ta3ala,

Assalam Alikum.

The video that Islands and Mirrors posted is showing a pregnant woman's belly in public.  I hope a moderator will include a warning, in case the brothers don't want to be exposed to a non-mahram woman showing her "bump" to the world.

Our God-fearing brothers wouldn't want their future wives to expose themselves to the world to see. The momin men have decency and gheera.

What's next, encouraging Muslim women to take pictures of their pregnant bellies on InstaHaram and fassadbook?

Brother @Ashvazdanghe is right.  This is not the Islam of Rasoul Allah.

This is Californication or Hollywood's IZlam.

From Merriam and Webster dictionary

Definition of Americanized

: adapted or altered to have or conform to typically American characteristics : American in quality or character

That was an accident and was at the end of the video. My intention wasn’t to show men that women are showing their bumps. Mods, feel free to delete the video, my intention was to show the differences in culture. The point stands. An Arab woman in the other video I showed was yelling at a woman saying awful things. What about that? I was pointing out how American women are friendlier compared to middle eastern women who go psycho. I hope the mods ban you for all of your abusive behavior. You said to a convert that she deserved her child being taken from her. You have smeared food on the faces of your children in real life. You have abused your own children and people here, the mods should ban you.

im sure you can find plenty of videos online of people from all colour, background, faith etc. behaving badly but it doesn't prove anything really. Middle eastern people are very hospitable in general and i dont see this being the case in american culture so dont cherrypick negative sides of cultures and use it to paint a bad picture of the people from there.

Sister @Caroling you are exaggerating... I know what you trying to say but it doesn't apply to every middle eastern woman... you can't put everyone in the same pot... you sounds so clichéd

So, basically you choose to completely ignore how Laayla’s a bully to everyone, that people have ganged up on me, how @Ashvazdanghe has disrespected me when I said I wanted an Americanized man (when I did nothing wrong) and instead you gaslight and tell me that I’M exaggerating. Are you freaking kidding me? If you can’t see anything wrong with how Middle Eastern women behave, then you’re part of the problem.

Assalam Alikum brother

Please explain, how so?  What was it that you disagreed about my post?  I appreciate your insight.  I like to learn from you.

I&M, I'm very happy that you mentioned about my behaviour towards my children.  I'm usually a private person, but I intentionally shared my experience because I wanted to change into a better mother.  The incident was seven years ago, and Alhamd'Allah I have become more aware of my past mistakes and changed.  But, thank you so much for the reminder, to remember where I was and where I am now.  God bless you and Insh'Allah you will be a better mother than me! :cryhappy:

I ignored no one ...my post was only about you stereotyping middle eastern women... which I personally found disrespectful. Sister no one is ganged up on you... you are taking this too serious and personal

So, you’re telling me that I have no right to be angry when everyone disrespects my culture and stereotype the American people. But as soon as I point out their hypocrisy, how Islam doesn’t promote their behavior either, all of a sudden, I’m the one being disrespectful, because it doesn’t fit your narrative? I don’t want to continue this conversation with you. This is the reality. Since you are unaware of how rude and backwards middle eastern people are and don’t find their behavior problematic, then there is no point in discussing this further with you.

:salam:
Sorry I have not meant to disrespct you but for majority of us " Americanized man or woman " has negative meaning than positive meaning which you have mentioned which even you can find men & women specially in young generation in ME & west Asia like Iran which they have tried to look like Americanized under influence of social media   & sattelite channels which they are broadcasting all latest hollywood  movies & Netflix & Turkish & Korean soap operas for free just to weaken faith of young generation & weakening family structures & showing LGBT as a package of becoming Americanized which behavior of Chapple guy is an example of it which due of your biased viewpoint about comparing ME & America & using Americanized , I couldn't hold myself for mentioning you anyway I'm really sory if I have bullied you :sign_sorry::sign_war: but consider it the word of Americanized in Asia subcontinent has mostly negative meaning than positive meaning even which both of  Korea & Japan young generations have totallty Americanized which even "K-Pop" groups like Black pink  have became favorite groups of many young men & women even in Islamic countries like Iran & Pakistan even hardcore wahabist of KSA but at the end even Korean Japaness people are complaining about bad & harsh behaviour of some Americans with them although they totally americanized & loss their cultur & identity in process of Americanizationwhich t they just have made themselve like clowns which americans behave with them under cliche of Asians & ME people.

Sorry but even I find this somewhat offensive and also, I'm not buying that you couldn't help it either, you could; You just chose not to.
