Inalilah wa ina alaih rajoon. But, he spent a successful life. Though we are deprived of him, but he has ascended to a place where his all griefs will be lifted. May Allah (s) help us to learn from his works.

There are a few men called "Yazdi" but checking Wikipedia I found out that Ayatullah Mohammad Yazdi passed away yesterday. (fatiha)

Of course Wikipedia can be a biased source, but editors there do try to maintain a neutral point of view.

Do not confuse him with  Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi or Mirza Mohammad Farrokhi Yazdi.The one who passed away is Ayatullah Mohammad Yazdi.
