Why does Islam prefer the "right" side over the "left" ?

Salaam,

I have a feeling that in our religion, the right is preferred over the left. Some examples are:

In the Day of Judgement, good people will receive their book on their right hand, while the doomed will receive it on their left (or behind their back).

We must do wudhu by starting first by washing the right hand, then the left hand (otherwise the wudhu is invalid). Same with ghusl, first the right side of the body, then the left.

It is recommended to sleep on our right side or on our back, and it is disapproved to sleep on our left side and on our belly.

It is recommended to eat and drink with the right hand, and not with the left.

When we mention Imam Mahdi and say : "3ajala Allahu farajahu", when place our RIGHT hand on our head.

When we empty our bowels, it is recommended to clean and wash with the left, instead of the right.

Even in English, we say "righteous" and "he's right".

Can someone please give the the hikma and wisdom for this ?

although i do not know the answer to everything you said i still wanted to answer 2 things

It is unhealthy for the body to sleep on the belly and can cause long term health problems. I knew a guy who slept a lot on his belly and he started having trouble breathing.

My dad told me that we eat with our right hand because we use our left hand to clean our end in the toilet but i dont know if this is the reasoning behind it.

ln mosque this was explained as easier on your heart.

If sleeping on the right is easier for the heart, shouldn't sleeping on the left be easier for the liver ?

As for the belly, if I remember correctly, it is disapproved because Imam Alis killer, ibn Muljam (la), was sleeping on his belly, waiting for the Imam (عليه السلام) to come and kill him.

Also, religious, spiritual and occultist paths are divided into left versus right...right-hand paths are associated with symbols of goodness, light, submission to God's will and religious authority...left-hand path focuses primarily on the strength of the individual and will of the practitioner and dark themes...it downplays the need for authority or intercession by any Higher Power or prophet-figure

Salam all types of sleeping except sleeping on belly approve by Ahlulbayt (عليه السلام)

Quote

Imam Ali (a) is narrated to have said: “Sleeping has four types: The Prophets (a) would sleep on their backs, their eyes would not sleep, and they were in a constant state of expectation of divine revelation. The pious person sleeps on their right side and faces the Qibla in this state. The kings and their children sleep on their left sides so that what they have ate will be refreshing to them. Then the Satan, his brothers, and every crazy and sick person sleeps on their stomachs.

Quote

Imam Reza (عليه السلام) says: The power and dominion of sleep is in the brain and it is the cause of stability and strength of the body, so whenever you want to sleep, first sleep on the right side, then on the left side, and also when you get up , get up from the right side (4)

Assalamu alaikum, dear brother

Apart from the reasons that the brothers have mentioned above, it is the belief of our madhab that the commandments of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) are ultimately meant for our benefit and best interests (aslahah) , even though the rationale behind them might not be apparent. Preferring the right, too, is likewise for our ultimate benefit, even though we may not immediately know the reasoning behind it.

your asking very complex questions that arent easy to answer , you want the ilm ul ghayb? earn it, clearly God has decided none of us are fit to hold it hence why nobody can answer such things , if the Imam was around for questions you could have asked him but hes in occultation

when Imam Mahdi returns and rids the world of the dajjal system the Zionist Jews and the sufyanis , he is going to reveal 72 new branches of knowledge and all branches of knowledge that we have now fall under 2 , so you can imagine how much new science and information he will teach the world, to the point that al diseases viruses illnesses will be lifted, people will live much longer than today almost like the people of Nuh who lived around 1000 years which is also why they will be the ones who go astray to the point that the kabaa will be destroyed quran lifted from everyone's hearts and no Muslims will be left on earth , the final generation before judgement day , and they will be the ones to see the stars falling as Quran states first or the destruction of the universe after which we will be resurrected and experience it as well

your answer lies there somewhere, but clearly now is not the time for that and many other questions to be revealed

in fact if people knew the answer to that they would probably be able to solve other things too and humanity doesnt deserve it now since its perverted corrupted evil and atheistic anti God , satanist in nature , such people dont get given such knowledge not even us Muslims cause were just as bad and undeserving of more mercy than we already have and are ungrateful for

Not necessary to start wudu by washing right hand

5:6. O believers... When you rise to perform salat, wash your faces and your
arms up to your elbows with water; wipe over your heads and your
feet up to your ankles.................

Man made rules, Not the part of Islam and Quran.

These are from the sunnah of the Holy Prophet and the Ahlulbayt (peace and blessings be upon them all), meaning they are recommended in Islam and not just "man made".

They're preferred in other religions as well, like Christianity. You hear tons of stories of left-handed kids getting trained to write in the right-hand because the left "was the devil's hand". It's one of those things that I think no one has the answer to really, better not to dwell on it.

you know there is hadith and even in duas mentioned talking about the imams and mystics and those closes to God being carriers of God's secret knowledge almost reserve stations to knowledge , they know things God taught them not just for the sake of teaching them but to test that they can carry it and also to increase their faith

however before you can earn this right you need to be able to prove you can carry the commands and be tested in them

God says dont do evil, and if you prove yourself steady ie following the commands dont sin do good , then once you prove that then you become eligible to receive greater knowledge

because if God says "here is a secret/s" and you go blurting it out, then everyone suffers due to it

first test is can you abstain from what you want where it hurts you , ie abstinence agaisn the nafs or jihadu-nafs hurts, causes u trauma can you handle that? if u can then you will be given the things which are even more heavier to handle, but not as a gift and yet as a gift, the gift of burden to increase ur faith and give you the motivation to keep going but also to see if you can handle level 2 if this experience

the late ayatollah bahjat when he used to be around people, God would reveal their sins to him, and he would be praying against it cause he didnt want the burden as it means it would change his judgement and behavior towards them and might make his tolerant demenour turn bitter and he didnt want to be rude to people and ruin his ahlaaq

so it goes to show knowledge is a test not something meant to raise you and give you an ego or stroking of an ego and people who come to this point usually dont want it .often he would be heard praying to God to cover peoples secrets up from himself , ie he was made aware even there is a story where he was about to lead prayers and a fellow came in at the back who was ritually impure, and he told him to leave and go have ghusl

so knowledge is a test not some thing u boast about to give u pride and ego

when God wants to reveal to world new knowledge he doesnt even need some holy or mystic to do it, he just chooses someone ie isaac newtown einstein they all revealed science to the world which changed the world and what can be done in it and all other sciences but thats because God decided that was the time

but the ilm ul ghayb is a test and burden

can u imagine walking around and seeing peoples thoughts and sins, it would be detrimental to most people, for some they would use that information against others to take advantage over them and for others it would make them proud and rude and bitter towards others or hateful towards people or think they are the best thing alive ie make their ego so big that it would ruin their religion, because that also a sin pride

u imagine the Imams who had al of this knowledge of all science and knowledge of everyone misdeeds and ye having to stay normal collective nonjudgmental nice tolerant quiet etc while the world around them is going mad with sins and evil and conjecture
