OBITUARY: The passing away of Maulana Kalbe Sadiq (rh)

Assalamun alaikum,

Dear brothers and sisters,

This is to inform you all, especially  momineen and mominaat from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, of the passing away of Maulana Kalbe Sadiq Naqvi (rh), who was not only among the most respected religious leaders of the Indian Shia, but was loved and held in high regard by the Shia of the entire subcontinent, and even the South Asian Shi'i diaspora in the West.

An eloquent and erudite speaker, his able leadership marked an important epoch in not only the religious, but also the social and political lives of at least 3 generations of Indian Shi'is. His departure from our midst is indeed a great loss to the community.

May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) bless his soul. Requesting the brothers and sisters to recite the surah fatiha for him.
