Nope, Alhamdulliah we are increasing and many people are converting to shia islam but still Sunni population is increasing significantly. We make only 10% to 13% of Islam population, out of that percentage, 75% to 80% are Twelver Shi’a.

Not really. Most converts find a home within Sunni Islam. If they're smart, they'll do their research and not just follow the Muslim closest to them.

So some might be more attracted to Sufist philosophy, others get into Salafism, others are that generic Sunni practitioner.

I think Shias are smart to just focus on Sunni Muslims though when it comes to dawah, since their strongest arguments really are for those that already love Muhammad (s) and his family (عليه السلام). Also, the Muslim world is very sick spiritually. We need to focus on ourselves rather than trying to get others to join in. If they find the path themselves, we'll welcome them with open arms, but it shouldn't be a focus.

No, and it's because of our mentality. Our din is intimate, withdrawn, introvert. We have very particular feelings. If you don't get them, you wouldn't understand Ithna'ashariya and it would be a waste of time trying to explain and advertising

There are other ways of doing dawat, other than the conventional, sunni way.

Look at the examples of our Imams; you won't find notable examples of them visiting people and spreading the teachings of the shia faith. You'll instead find them being the best examples of morals, characters, and displaying a perfect following of our deen. You'll find them being excellent teachers and sources of knowledge; people who wanted to learn would approach them themselves. They often approached them naturally, inspired by their radiant personalities.

I feel the best way we can do dawat is to have excellent morals, have unblemished characters, and be examples for others in following and observing our religion. Words can only do so much in the way of inviting others to religion; we have to lead by example. You'll actually find this view in the traditions and events attributed to our Imams. For example, look at how Imam Ali Raza ((عليه السلام)) inspired his prison guards to become shia simply because of his earnest, devout way of praying in his prison cell.
