Are Shia more accepting of converts from Sunni or Non muslim?

Are shias more likly to accept converts from sunni or converts from non muslims? I read a threat on here about marriage too! is this a factor?

I don't know about that.

But these Sunni/Salafi Dawah preachers are more obsessed with converting people than maintaining people on the good route which is why a lot of converts find themselves on the path of Shiah eventually when they dig deeper. Salafi-ism has almost become a default option of Islam for converts in the US/Canada/Europe. And this is very dangerous.

I agree with El Cid. I think Shias are more strong on the follow-up part. Also what differentiates us with the Salafis/Wahabis is that we allow every question. Every question can be asked and every critique is okay, it shows you have a great intellect and you want to get closer to Allah by trying to understand his religion. Salafi/Wahabis don't allow you to ask anything. They will just throw the "it's just like that" or just say it's in Sahih Bukhari (without references). Also we don't hide anything. All our books are open to the public. But good luck try finding Shia books in strict Sunni/salafi countries. They hide a lot, and that says a lot.

Also, Shia are not as well as organized as Salafis. Salafis have tons of funding and have a lot of centres/mosques. Shias are kind of hidden, and if you ask about them to salafis they tell you to forget them/don't talk with them etc. etc. I do think tho that the last few years I see more shia converts. Shias are doing a better job these years on raising awareness on social media.

Also agree with you, adding to what you said, I think that normal Sunni and Shia dawah preachers get buried by salafist/wahhabi dawah preachers due to Saudi Arabia funding and infiltration of major muslim organizations, as a result, many non muslims get gradually sucked into Salafism/Wahhabism(the extremeist terrorist kind)

Come to think of it, the only masjid in my town is probably a Salafist masjid and I think that's why I don't like it & don't bother to go there. The closest Shia masjid/center is 100-something miles north of me.

What makes me think that it's a Salafist masjid is that they're very pushy and obsessed with unimportant things as being "sunnah" rather than the character of the Prophet Muhammad (عليه السلام).
