‘Anti-Shia Hashtag Mapping Shows That 80% Of The Accounts Were Operating From India

Pakistan has recently seen a surge in sectarianism, specifically after Muharram. The result of these sentiments that were initially propagated online led to several anti-Shia protests across the country.

A few incidents, where Shias were targetted and gunned down, were also recorded. The Focal Person to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dr. Arsalan Khalid, recently addressed the issue in the presence of representatives of multiple digital media organizations and said that majority of these trends were operating from outside Pakistan

The ruling party which is anti Muslims has somehow bought a few influential names like Khalbe Jawad, Yasoob Abbas and Shia Wakf Board to be their boot lickers.

They consistently give out statement in support of the govt despite their crimes against Muslims in India. The Shia Wakf board even offered to give some statue or other thing and donated a huge money for Ram Mandir ( Constructed after demolition of Babri Kashif) , the site is controversial and has lead to riots and deaths of Muslim. This basically triggered a lot of online hatred against Shi'as in India.

Basically it's divide and rule policy adopted against Muslim by the govt. Where they bought a few Shia personalities and give them huge media attention.

Kalbe Jawwad is not some dark horse, he is a recognized and major Shi’ite figure in India, in charge of the main Imambara in Lucknow which is a major tourist attraction.

The truth is right-wing Hindus largely favor the Shi'ah over us Sunni Muslims. Modi has a strong relationship with the Dawudi Bohras, a Shi'ah sect. I believe one of the reasons for this is that Sunni Muslims do not assimilate into Hindu culture and practices as much as the Shi'ah do.

Khalbe Jawad isn't really someone who had great Knowledge. He has a political background but is very limited in terms of knowledge.

Also he was against the government when it first came to power and would occasionally come up with statements against them. But the last 2 years things have significantly changed. He has been consistently bootlicking the government and giving out pointless statements favouring them when he doesn't have to.

Hindus don't favour any Muslims at all. The hardcore fanatics hate Muslims no matter what sect we belong to. Also a lot of Shi'as where killed in 2002 Gujarat riots which where orchestrated by Modi so the fact that they favour Shi'as is absolutely wrong.

He's using them recently just for the purpose of divide and rule.

Even if you are OK with the government it doesn't mean you come out with statement every week supporting them with sweet stuff. Even when certain bills which where clearly against the Muslims Khalbe Jawad had come up with statements backing it even though he could have remained silence.

People like Yasoob Abbas and Shia Wakf board have gone even lower. They have went to Hindu functions and bowed down to Hindu gods. The Shia Wakf board chairmen claims he sees Hindu gods in his dream etc. They are just portraying a terrible image of Shias amongst Muslims tbh.

It may be the case for Pakistan

But I think that there was and has always been anti Shia twitter accounts, that go around calling Shias "rafidhas" and also saying that shias deserve the worse. An interesting thing to note, is that a lot of the anti shia accounts were from the West(London, France).

How accurate is Twitter trend mapping. For eg. If a bunch of people sitting in India, connected to VPN France and trend something. What will the trend map show, France or India?

Secondly, banned terrorist organizations in Pakistan can take out rally of 30k people, chant anti-shia slogans, insults our ulama and state doesn't do a thing. They kill shias in broad daylight and we are stuck at who is trending what.

Forget about twitter. What would you say about Minhaj-us-Sunnah by ibn Taymiyyah and writings of Abdul Wahab Al-Najdi. Pretty sure they emanate long before there was even a word called 'Twitter'.
