Bahraini delegation arrives in Tel Aviv on Wednesday

November 19, 2020 - 8:48 AM

Quote

Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and his accompanying delegation were received by the Israeli foreign minister, Gabi Ashkenazi, according to Bahrain’s foreign ministry.

It is the first trip by a Bahraini official to occupied Palestine.

The ministry quoted Al Zayani as saying that the trip was a “brave step that the government of Bahrain has taken for realization of security, stability and progress.”

He added that during the visit, steps will be taken for “joint cooperation in various fields”.

The Bahraini foreign minister also said more such visits will be made in the future.

Bahrain’s main opposition group, the al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, has denounced the deal as an “ultimate betrayal of Islam and Arabs and a departure from the Islamic, Arab and national consensus.”

It has said the Israel-Bahrain agreement is void of any legitimacy whatsoever.

It’s pretty clear that you prefer the Wahhabi–Salafi Muslim Brotherhood to those “evil” secularists, Shias, and “commies,” isn’t it? Ironically, I dislike the IRI because, like Turkey, Qatar, and even the KSA, it promotes the MB, especially Hamas, against secular nationalism and socialism, under the pretext of Islamic “unity,” even though the MB massacres religious and ethnic minorities (see Libya, Syria, Yemen, et al.) as well as secular nationalists and Marxists. Unsurprisingly, the U.S., Israel, the “Sunni” Wahhabi–Salafi regimes, and the IRI alike have all promoted Hamas against the PLO/Fatah, while coopting the latter’s leaders since the days of Arafat, to the detriment of the PFLP-fronted Rejectionist Front, which was predominantly socialist and Marxist in orientation. In the 1970s only the PFLP-led Rejectionists opposed the imperialists’ “two-state ‘solution’,” whereas the collaborationist PLO/Fatah and the Masonic MB Islamists backed it via divide-and-rule tactics. (The PLO/Fatah backed the treasonous, tainted, Western-approved Oslo Accords, while Hamas promoted indiscriminate Jew-hatred instead of principled anti-Zionism. Hamas also backed un-Islamic “suicide” tactics.) I’m not sure as to why you hate the IRI so much, since in my view the IRI often cooperates with the West, albeit covertly and behind the scenes, to the detriment of anti-imperialist movements. For example, the IRI has often spoken against Western and Zionist aggression, but in practice has done very little to help anti-imperialist movements, including Ansar Allah in Yemen, and backed the Western-spawned, MB-led “Arab Spring” covert operations against Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya, for instance. The IRI has also let the West occupy northeastern Syria and issued empty threats against Israel but done nothing to help ordinary people resist imperialism. The IRI, for the most part, has not questioned the official version of 9/11 (Ahmadinejad was the lone exception) and exaggerates its defensive “capabilities” against NATO’s sophisticated electronic and electromagnetic capabilities, to not mention Western tactical “mini-nukes.” All this makes the West’s anti-IRI propaganda, and the IRI’s anti-Western “line,” a real charade.

Example of Hamas’ history of opportunism:

Quote

Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual leader of the (Muslim Brotherhood’s – ed.) Islamist movement in Palestine, returning from Cairo in the seventies, established an Islamic charity association. Prime Minister Golda Meir, saw this as a an opportunity to counterbalance the rise of Arafat’s (admittedly pro-collaborationist, as opposed to Rejectionist – ed.) Fatah movement. According to the Israeli weekly Koteret Ra[Edited Out] (October 1987), "The Islamic associations as well as the university had been supported and encouraged by the Israeli military authority" in charge of the (civilian) administration of the West Bank and Gaza. "They [the Islamic associations and the university] were authorized to receive money payments from abroad (meaning the pro-Western, pro-Zionist, feudalist regimes in the MENA, particularly the Persian Gulf and Francophone North Africa, including Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, the Shah’s Iran, Sadat’s Egypt, and so on – ed.)." ...

"The military authority was convinced that these activities would weaken both the PLO and the leftist organizations (especially the Rejectionist, secularist PFLP, which at the time was emerging as the main anti-Zionist force, given the ties of the PLO/Fatah and the Islamists to the Zionist occupiers – ed.) in Gaza." ... Thanks to Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad (Israel’s Institute for Intelligence and Special Tasks), the Islamists (of the Muslim Brotherhood – ed.) were allowed to reinforce their presence in the occupied territories. Meanwhile, the members of Fatah (Movement for the National Liberation of Palestine) and the Palestinian Left were subjected to the most brutal form of repression.

In 1984, Ahmed Yassin was arrested and condemned to twelve years in prison, after the discovery of a hidden arms cache. But one year later, he was set free and resumed his activities. ...when the Intifada (‘uprising’) began, in October 1987, which took the Islamists (and the compradors within the PLO/Fatah – ed.) by surprise, Sheik Yassin responded by creating the Hamas (The Islamic Resistance Movement): "God is our beginning, the prophet our model, the Koran our constitution", proclaims article 7 of the charter of the organization.

Hamas had rejected Oslo outright. But at that time, 70% of Palestinians had condemned the attacks on Israeli civilians (as opposed to attacks on the Zionist occupation forces, i.e., police and military targets – ed.). ... Hamas ... launched a carefully timed campaign of attacks against civilians, one day before the meeting between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators, regarding the formal recognition of Israel by the National Palestinian Council. These events were largely instrumental in the formation of a Right wing Israeli government following the May 1996 elections.

Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered Sheik Ahmed Yassin to be released from prison ("on humanitarian grounds") where he was serving a life sentence. Meanwhile, Netanyahu, together with President Bill Clinton, was putting pressure on Arafat to control the Hamas. ... Worse still: after having expelled Yassin to Jordan, Prime Minister Netanyahu allowed him (Yassin – ed.) to return to Gaza, where he was welcomed triumphantly as a hero in October 1997.

...because (Arafat – ed.) had supported Saddam Hussein during the 1991 Gulf war (while the Hamas had cautiously abstained from taking sides), the Gulf states decided to cut off their financing of the Palestinian Authority. Meanwhile, between February and April 1998, Sheik Ahmad Yassin was able to raise several hundred million dollars, from those same countries. ...

These new sources of funding enabled the Islamists to effectively pursue their various charitable activities. It is estimated that one Palestinian out of three is the recipient of financial aid from the Hamas. And in this regard, Israel has done nothing (as of the time of this writing in the summer of 2002 – ed.) to curb the inflow of money into the occupied territories.

The Hamas had built its strength through its various acts of sabotage of the peace process, in a way which was compatible with the interests of the Israeli government. ... Hamas was fulfilling the functions for which it was originally created: to prevent the creation of a Palestinian State. And in this regard, Hamas and Ariel Sharon, see eye to eye; they are exactly on the same wave length.

Islamic Jihad rebukes UAE over granting citizenship to 5,000 Israelis

Palestinian resistance movement Islamic Jihad has slammed the United Arab Emirates over granting citizenship to 5,000 Israelis calling that another shame for the “traitorous” Arab state.
Quote

In a Thursday report, the website of Emirates Leaks reported that some 5,000 Israelis have obtained UAE citizenship within the past three months, after the Arab country amended its law on granting citizenship to foreigners.

Citing sources, Emirates Leaks revealed an influx of Israelis into the UAE, especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi under the cover of investment.

The sources said UAE authorities allow citizenship for investors and entrepreneurs without the need to give up their original nationality.

With an Emirati citizenship, the Israelis would be able to cross the Persian Gulf and Arab countries without a prior visa, according to the sources.

Iran rebukes Israel over fate of kidnapped diplomats

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has denounced Israeli regime and its supporters as responsible for the kidnapping of four Iranian diplomats back in 1982.
Quote

In a letter to Secretary General Antonio Guterres in July 2020, Iran’s Ambassador to the UN Majid Takht-Ravanchi said Tehran believes the diplomats were handed over to Israeli forces immediately after the abduction in a region controlled by Israel at the time.

“Evidence shows they have been held in Israeli prisons, and are still alive,” the Iranian envoy said.

It's sad to see Bahrain a shia majority country in hands with Israel.

Azerbaijan is another one but majority of people are more secural and less religious if I'm right

The more illegitimate the regime the more likely it is to rely on outside powers for support.

Salam people of Azerbaijan are religious as like as Bahrain which unfotunately Shias of Azerbaijan  have hard situation in similar fashion of Shias of Bahrain due to strong influence of twin devils of Israel & new ottoman pan Turks of Turkey over government of Azerbaijan which unfortunately few Azerbaijani Shias have been affected by  propaganda of new ottoman pan Turks  against Iran.

That train left a long, long time ago. The scam the West has been pulling on the rest of the world has been to maintain the fiction of a two-state solution while Israel has been removing the possibility of it ever happening.

What the FT is proposing now is some South African Bantustan that will only exist to provide cheap labour. But it will be an insult to call it a state.

No doubt, the Saudis would love for this fiction to be created so that they can go about normalisation.

Finally, they should lead the way in formally recognising a Palestinian state, before there is nothing left to recognise. It would be a symbolic move. But it would underline Europe’s commitment to a two-state solution as the only sustainable future. It would send a message to Israel, too, that the concepts of international law and justice still have meaning.
