Writing surah on paper and drinking it

السلام عليكم

I see some ahadith saying that if you write a certain surah or ayah on paper, dip it in water, then drink it such and such will happen. What kind of ink/medium is being used to write on the paper? How do we insure that the ink/graphite isn't toxic for our bodies? How should this be done properly?

Best to boil some saffron and use the resulting water as the ink.

Walaikum Salam brother.

From my experience witnessing it within my community this is sometimes done for people who suffer from witchcraft to provide relief for them and a cure in a sense. I don’t know which ayah the sheikh usually writes, maybe form Surah al-Baqarah?

For my purpose, I will be writing Surat Yusuf. But yes, there are many surahs which use this method

What do you plan on using to write? I recall others using ear swabs/picks.

A fountain pen? Or a quill if prefered?

Regular paper, or some type of parchment?

As for that, I do not yet. I have sent a message to Najaf.org and they advised my to call the office tomorrow for clarification on the method. I will be doing so and updating you.

السلام عليكم

He said write it with Saffron inside a bowl, fill it with water and drink it. He said to use a cotton swab. But I'm not sure how I'm going to write Surat Yusuf in a bowl. It's not exactly short.

You may have to use a large cooking bowl. May Allah accept your request.
