Assalam o alikum everyone,

No rude replies please.

And I am new to this site. So please mention, if i am uploading my question on a wrong forum.

So, I made my YouTube channel three days ago. There are only three videos on it with almost 42 subscribers in three days. Everything was alright and I was happy with my number of subscribers. Until today, I received my very first criticising comment. The lady said that there should be a way to change your voice as non mahram are going to listen to your voice, which is haram in islam.

I don't know, what to think or do. I mean, I am totally blank minded right now. Can you guys give advice or guide me please?

People here would explain better. But its not haram for non mehram to listen to your voice.

If it was entirely haram, then what about hadith e Kisa?

Jabir Bin Abdullah narrated from Syeda Fatima (عليه السلام)

And people narrated same from Umme Salmah (عليه السلام)

So i guess if you are doing pardah, then its alright. As long as you don't make haram content and working from home is best for women!

Salam, I don't know what your you tube channel is about.

If you are teaching cupcake decorating for example or cooking or physics I don't thing there is anything wrong with it as long as you aren't  consciously making it enticing for male listeners but if it's something to do with primarily your voice like nohas or nasheeds then I don't think it should be out there for namehram men to listen to it.

A general advice, there will always be people making hurtful comments. If you want to be successful on SM you have to develop a thick skin.

Keep doing whatever you are doing.  I don't see anything wrong with this.

I write on a writer's online forum, where I have more than 100 k readers, also received lots of hateful and criticising comments, that's not new for me. But someone said that the effort i was doing was "haram"....i don't know it made me feel bad.

As the saying goes: Haters gonna hate

You are going to have to get used to some levels of criticism or even abuse as the idiots get emboldened online to say things they probably wouldn't say in real life - I'm sure that you know for yourself what is appropriate and what isn't.

Let’s see what Allah tells us:

". . . And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen; that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts . . ." [al-Ahzaab 33:53]

". . . then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner." [al-Ahzaab 33:32]

People will find anything to criticize. Sometimes, it is warranted and can be good for personal growth. Other times, it's frivolously dumb.

This falls into the latter category. People like that want to think they are important and often talk for the sake of talking.

Normal formal talking shouldn't be an issue, but you shouldn't recite nohas or anything where you would need to make your voice melodious/attractive.
