Tawaf Al Nisa for a sunni

Salaam. I am a sunni and I like a boy who is shia. Say we wanted to get married so before marriage will I need to do hajj? And do the tawaf al nisa? or is it not mandatory for me and only he will have to do it?

Walaikum as salam. One does not need to perform hajj in order to get married. However if you do perform hajj or umrah, tawaf un nisa is wajib according to shi'i fiqh. If it was not performed in a past hajj or umrah then one must complete it or ask someone to do it on their behalf.

I thought tawaf un nisa was only for men, this thread got me reading and correcting my belief, thanks.

Oh so basically if I have never done hajj and neither has he and we married, so we would still be halal for each other? But say somewhere in the future we decide to do hajj or umrah, then it'll be wajib to do the tawaf al nisa? Am I correct?

I am not sure myself. I have recently started studying the shia beliefs and I myself am still very confused.

Marrying a Shi'i is generally not permissible in Sunni Fiqh - this this the consensus of every Madhab.

Sunnis do not have this tawaf un nisa. If a shia wife performs tawafun nisa, but her sunni husband does not perform it, can she perform his tawaf as well on his behalf?
