You might be thinking of "All the Perfumes of Arabia", as that one had the perfume bottle. "The Muhammadan Cure" has a green foresty cover.

This is also another book on the subject in Arabic. Ayatollah Tabrizian narrates most of the Prophetic Hadiths about medicine in shia sources.

However, unlike many others, he also looks at the aspects of "sins and diseases in souls" and their effect on mental and physical health.

The only treatment for diabetes mentioned in this book is black myrobalan. It may help reduce blood glucose levels, bad cholesterol, and triglycerides. It is also an antioxidant.

May Allah grant your son full shifa'. It is troubling that children are now developing diabetes.
