I used to think I had little spare time.  Now I really do have none!  There are always people in my house!  Every minute of every day!  It's madness!

We'll likely start with this tonight and work our way through the rest. Any (better) recommendations for podcasts/lectures welcome. Please no crowd-pleasing majalis reciters.

There are 61 dues here, one per day, should last the lockdown period:

@313 Seeker

not really fan of ab workout on ground, however plank is a really nice workout. There is an old guy who has the world record for plank hold for 1 hour and 40 mins I think.

yeah I heard of this, and I suspect it's a magic trick, but I am not sure.

Well then do some planks then!  What you waiting for :)

First of all, I started to delete all the spam phone calls I have in my phone history, then realized before deleting them that I should add their number to my "reject list" so they won't be able to call me again. I stopped doing that very soon, because it was boring; maybe I can do it later. I came to ShiaChat several times today. Reading a lot more these days and watching some videos that people recommend in ShiaChat topics.

These spam calls are so irritating and everyday they call from a different number. I don't know what to do. :ko:

I've been praying more, trying to learn python, relearning french and Arabic, writing, trying new recipes etc. :coffee:

Lots of reading, art projects, and studying. Why did you decide on Madinah Book 2?

How did I miss this

The series is highly recommended by the Arabic learning community and I can see why. It's specifically designed for Muslims who want to learn Arabic and is structured in a thoughtful way that even someone like me who's been though countless language learning books is impressed. God guides us in holy efforts and it shows with this book

Oh nice! Have you made any progress on it since Sunday? I love language learning. It takes so much effort but it is worthwhile, I think

If you need any past tense verbs that need to be in the present tense, just let me know

I feel the same way

Salutary article, worth reading, written by an Italian as a prediction for others about the experience and emotions we are about to go through:

Quote

First of all, you’ll eat. Not just because it will be one of the few last things that you can still do.

You’ll find dozens of social networking groups with tutorials on how to spend your free time in fruitful ways. You will join them all, then ignore them completely after a few days

This is my attempt at a home exercise device. It's a set of small steps we have in the kitchen with an iPad in front. Oh and there is an iPhone in my pocket to measure the number of steps.

The wife suggested getting some in-home exercise device, but from past experience, sometimes you buy those things and they gather dust. This seems to be working ok, but if the first step were an inch or two higher it would be ideal.

This way I get to prove whether or not the concept can be used on a regular basis and if it is, I might spend money. We did the same for a table tennis set-up. My son and I played on the dining table and used Lego to make a net. Once we were playing regularly, I invested in one of these for about US$90. You put it on top of a dining table and it works out way cheaper than buying a dedicated table tennis table.

Right now I'm giving in to my insomnia ( too much napping during the day).

When dawn comes I will pray, make breakfast for the family,  feed my animals, see how my garden soil is doing , then take out my bow and quiver, go out to the shed area where the target is set up ,and proceed to become a sociological stereotype.

This Bill, that Bill . . . in fact, Americans mostly meditate on bills...

and some other Amerikans medicate on them.

^ that’s funny. every time I sit to meditate I realize why I don’t do this everyday. it’s such a great way to let go of things. helpful at silencing the non-stop mental chatter, and that comes in handy when you stand for salah
