So far, there has been no evidence of the virus transferring from pets to humans, but it's aways a good idea to practice good hygiene when handling animals. If you touch any animal, wash your hands well.

Salam it's a common thing between travel destination countries like Philippine & Turkey & etc are doing same mistake of Italy about denying any patient or showing it in very low rate to keep their tourism business alive in cost of human lifes.

Yes, they could not keep it hidden forever:

Reported fatalities remain much lower than other badly hit countries, at 649, but the infection figures suggest Turkey has the fastest rising number of confirmed cases in the world.

As I said at the time when MSM were querying Iran's figures, they were ignoring those countries, like Turkey, claiming to have no cases at all.

Also, can this Plasma be injected to a healthy, non-infected person to build immunity against the virus (like vaccine)?

@starlight @Liggel

Until this C-19 started, l didn't know plasma had stuff in it. Before, we were always told it was 'blood fluid' with no cells or particles in it.

It has many things - water, enzymes, protein, salt, chilli powder, coriander mix, turmeric, jeera, etc.

I see the death rate has slowly risen to 21%. Many third world countries are trying to keep it together and societies seem ready to come apart at the seams. With the poison of godlessness, western animal like living and globalization, having spread so much of all those "freedoms" and chaos, it will be a miracle if humanity will be able to comprehensively end Covid-19. I calculate that it is likely that it won't be. That death rate will rise to 33.33% in the end and the number of infected to nearly the entire human population. Making Covid-19 the "white death" predicted 1400 years ago.

Fueling the fire is the US pirating masks and medical equipment from countries like Germany and another idr to which they are protesting. That same irresponsible, savage behavior and love for violent means USA is very likely to exercise with countries other than the 3rd world countries and that just might spark the "Red death" in the West during the next 12 months.

When I was younger I loved to theory craft. Now the theories are crafting themselves for me.

@starlight

No. The plasma contains activated cells and antibodies already formed against the virus. It would not stimulate production of immune cells if injected into a person.

The current number of recovered vs deaths is not representative of the final number of recovered vs fatalities. 95% of cases are mild, which means they have a good probability of surviving.

In the US for example, there are roughly 13,000 deaths and roughly 22,000 recovered. But that doesn't mean that the virus is killing 60% of people it infects in the US. It just means that mild cases are sitting around riding out the virus and haven't technically "recovered" yet, though the vast majority will.

Odds of surviving the virus for people ages 65 and younger is actually something like 99+%.

In developing countries the poor could not access health in the first place, so they'll die without much impact on anyone else.

This seems to have happened in Indonesia:

Last week, Reuters reported an unexplained surge in burials in Jakarta in March, when 4,400 people were buried, 40% more than any month since at least January 2018. Health workers have warned hospitals could be quickly overwhelmed, while groups including Amnesty International Indonesia have urged the government to provide enough personal protective equipment for hospital staff, after at least 18 doctors died while treating patients.

The national and foreign media were invited to the Imamzadeh-Masum mosque in a southwestern district of the Iranian capital where the women have been working.

As the seamstresses stitch, a team is in charge of cutting out and sorting the masks, which are placed in buckets.

Other women fold and arrange the printed sheets of material as they are produced.

In another room of the place of worship, men sitting on prayer mats make plastic gloves with rudimentary heat-sealing devices.

Nazir Afzal, the former chief crown prosecutor for north-west England, who lost his 71-year-old brother Umar to Covid-19 on Wednesday, said the UK was “substantially under reporting” coronavirus deaths.

“It appears that some people are not taking this pandemic seriously,” he said. “If they appreciated the hundreds of families and communities who lost loved ones every day then they might. Fifty-two people were killed on 7/7*, we know all their names, everything they lost and left behind. We know nothing of more than 20 times that every day who lose their lives to Covid-19.”

Although President Trump has directed states and hospitals to secure what supplies they can, the federal government is quietly seizing orders, leaving medical providers across the country in the dark about where the material is going and how they can get what they need to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
