Don't be so shamelessly romantic, spouting excess to be the next show-off.

By your emotionalism, why not then firemen? They have been at incendiary locations for decades.

It's unfortunate that it takes time to ramp up production, and that many have been slow to respond. But where there is a will, there certainly has always been a way. Reminds me of world war 2 when women started working in manufacturing positions to meet equipment demands.

Women in manufacturing beginning in WW2 is a myth. lt not only happen in WW1, but began when machinery was first used. ln America this was 1814 with the power looms.

I'm not suggesting that it began (was the first time women ever worked in manufacturing) in WWII, only that it happened or that women joined the work force when there was demand. But thanks for the extra info.

Honestly this should be the time when they take industrial action in order to gain better pay and conditions.

They won't of course. But you rest assured that the very politicians who are currently saying that 'once this is over' they'll take better care of the healthcare professions, won't.

They'll go back to looking after the bankers. You know it, I know it, the nurses know it, the bankers know it and the politicians know it.

Coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan has reached 2689 patients, 2631 of whom belong to the Raiwind.

I hope now the wahabbis will stop calling COVID as 'Shia corona'. There was such an uproar about Shia people coming from Iran being responsible for spreading Corona Virus to Pakistan.

There's incompetence and corruption but Nizamuddin angle is also correct. Tablighis increased existing tensions.

Mr... Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyani did similar job as Musaylimmah Kazab. Musaylimmah was declared apostate by those who were foremost in their religion. Mr... Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyani and his cult was declared apostate on same grounds so your Qadiyani community accept Musaylimmah as apostate but not Mr... Qadiyani sahab why?

Apostate in Islam is one who says against a principle belief so stop accusing Pakistan rather accuse Qadiyani sahab for crossing the limits which Allah (عزّ وجلّ) has settled.

However, the weight on one's sin is not borne by others. So, new Ahmadi generation though wrong but their lives shall be protected as fellow human beings.

don’t play Shia card on this site.

Isn't apostate the one accepts Islam and then leaves it? Not talking about born Muslims.

Of course they did.Specially incidents with health care workers who went to check on them. But I happened to referring the notion that all Muslims must be blamed for their stupid actions.

US hampering efforts aimed at discovering origin of coronavirus: Analyst

Sunday, 05 April 2020 5:06 AM  [ Last Update: Sunday, 05 April 2020 5:06 AM ]

Kevin Barrett

The United States is hampering efforts by countries around the world that are calling for an international investigation into the origin of the coronavirus, says a political analyst.

And the reason the US is doing so is that the fatal virus possibly originated in Fort Detrick, Maryland which is the home of US biological warfare, Kevin Barrett, an American scholar and author, told Press TV on Saturday.

“The medical authorities in China, Iran, Italy and elsewhere have all been calling for an international effort to identify the precise genetic trail of the different strains of this coronavirus and to find its true origin, the United States has been exhibiting guilty demeanor by completely ignoring this and doing everything it can to obstruct and cover up the truth.”

“This is biological warfare, this is made in US biological warfare and there is a reason why the US does not want a scientific effort to identify the different strains of this virus and find out where it originated because the place of origin is very likely going to be Fort Detrick, Maryland. Fort Detrick, Maryland is the home of US biological warfare,” he added.

The coronavirus, a respiratory disease known as COVID-19, jumped from wildlife to people in the Chinese city of Wuhan late last year and is currently affecting more than 200 countries and territories across the globe.

However, since the outbreak of the epidemic, its origin has been widely discussed online, and conspiracy theories around it have also emerged endlessly.

According to American health experts, the virus did not originate from a seafood market in Wuhan, but somewhere else.

Elsewhere in the interview, Barrett said the US, as the richest most technologically advanced country, is unable to do things to protect its citizens and stem the pandemic in comparison to much poorer countries which are carrying out this task better.

“The authorities in the United States, the richest most powerful, most technologically advanced country in on Earth, at least it was until recently, are completely incompetent and unable to do things that much poorer countries do much much better and quicker.”

The virus has so far affected more than 1,200,000 people worldwide and killed over 64,000, according to a running count by worldometers.info.

In the United States, the country hardest hit by the virus so far, over 311,000 people have tested positive and more than 8,400 people have died because of the virus infection.

On Saturday, President Donald Trump warned that there would be “a lot of deaths" across the country in the weeks ahead.

“This will be probably the toughest week, between this week and next week, and there will be a lot of death, unfortunately,” Trump said.

Article by Bill Gates:

First, we need a consistent nationwide approach to shutting down. Despite urging from public health experts, some states and counties haven’t shut down completely. In some states, beaches are still open; in others, restaurants still serve sit-down meals.

Criticises the Trump/Kushner approach:

The same goes for masks and ventilators. Forcing 50 governors to compete for lifesaving equipment — and hospitals to pay exorbitant prices for it — only makes matters worse.

As of 0700EDT,Sunday,05April2020

The USA has 25.6% of the World's reported cases, and 12.8% of the reported deaths(8,454).

This compared with European countries' graphs show the the time lag for the surge in deaths is not here in the US yet.

Salam such person is apostate but he/she will have chance to accept Islam again to verify as a Muslim again but punishment for born Muslims is more severe than persons that accept a Islam then leave it.

General law enforcement situation is rising up here in Pakistan according to a couple of sources. Being a practically downtrodden people who are poorer than the homeless of US and owe IMF and everybody else oceans of debt while having received pointless transit and fake projects by a sham democracy for decades, our society may be one of the first ones to crumble if this thing is not checked, the lockdown lifted and life returns to normal again. Crime is spiking and hordes of beggars are getting too desperate according to some reports.

^^^^ Reminds me of a Corona Scam l saw last night/this morning.

These scammers set up fake test points and charged people $200 each for fake coronavirus testing. So a family of 4 would be $___.

Fareed Zakaria of CNN looks forward to the longer term implications of Covid-19:

https://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2020/04/05/fareeds-take-coronavirus-global-crisis-gps-vpx.cnn

There is economic and political fallout to come...

He points out that global co-operation is needed, but could be very hard to obtain, Zakaria gives the example that last month the G7 were unable to agree to a statement about the virus because the US insisted on it being called the Wuhan virus.
