Shia scholars who wrote on the Prophet’s Life are not authentic or accurate according to earliest sources.

What are the accurate works of Prophet life?

I have been realizing more and more that The Prophetic Presence (S) is not really that strong in the Shiite world.  I hope I am WRONG about this, and God knows best.   Now, I don’t know why this is the case exactly but this is an indication that I wouldn’t recommend Shia Works for learning about the Prophet (S).

I like “Martin Lings”.  I don’t call it accurate or inaccurate as it is not for me to judge.  But he makes an attempt to base the work on the earliest sources available.  It is a pretty blessed biography in my opinion.

I also have the book, It is very well written and easy to follow. I realized that the only way to seek the truth in this situation is to look at the different Prophet (saws) events and get much information possible and different viewpoint about them. This is why I'm interested to read from both sources.

This Book is weak according to Sunni sources

Yes but that's their hadith scholars who weaken literary giants like Abu mikhanaf and ibn kalbi

Hadith scholars pander their sectarian agenda they are not reliable historians

Then all ilm-ur-rijal becomes un-reliable since hadith scholors were
just making up things supporting there view

Then you people have no right to say anything about Kitab Sulaim bin Qais.

There have been famous Shia historians who have analyzed these works and histories in depth. To dismiss Shia academic work on history is not appropriate. And to accept blindly everything narrated by Sunni historians is futile as well. Exspecially since at times they were sponsored by the abbasids as example. There are some works in english on seerah nabi but I am no academic historian to claim everything in those works, in the end we trust experts in the field and search for those exeprts.

Ibn ishaq seerah has been messed with by ibn hisham who removed the pro Ahlul Bayt materials

" You people "???

I have nothing against KSBQ

It's a work to judged on its merits

And neither rijal nor seerah is a perfect science

There are a lot of gaps due to scarcity of primary contemporary sources

Salaam ‘alaykum.

May Allah reward you for having intention to learn more about His Prophet (صل الله عليه و اله وسلم) and give you tawfiq to adopt his characteristics and ways. The Best of Creation (صل الله عليه واله و سلم) is the best example for us to follow and may Allah increase your love for him and your imaan increase and devotion to the Nabi’s Lord, also, when you read his biography.

The most comprehensive seerah of the Nabi (صل الله عليه واله وسلم) I have come across (from twelver resources, in English) is Hayat al-Qulub from Allama Baqir al-Majlisi.

I heard scholors along with some references that
Seerah of Muhammad Ibn ishaq was narrated to Ibn hisham by Al Bukai

And Muhammad ibn Ishaq himself has alot of troubles
Many experts called him kazaab

And Bukai also has troubles

And then comes the chain of narrations within the book

Such a book is nothing
But TS and others will quote anything from these books
But when we use KItab Sulaim Bin Qais
They'll find faults in it and say we only use fabrications.

Wa alaykom salaam, when it comes to history an expert must recontruct the history they don’t just blindly narrate it. It is a very big task.

As for kitab sulaym ibn qays some argue there are some issues with the book, and that there has been some alteration or change and it is not the original book.
