In Abha, southwestern Saudi, very close to Yemen, hundreds of Saudi men and women in Burqas were swaying and dancing in a music concert whilst their neighbours face the biggest humanitarian emergency in recent times.

What a disgrace.

Everyone here knows Saudi Arabia is a disgrace. It requires courage to confront atrocities by your own side or a side that claims to speak for you. Just like it takes no courage to criticise Russian atrocities in America, but takes courage to confront American crimes in the US and it takes no courage to confront Syrian atrocities if you're jewish but takes real courage to confront Israeli ones, it also applies to Shias. We can criticise America, Israel and Saudi Arabia all we want and there are legitimate criticisms there, but there's plenty to criticize when it comes to Iran too that people don't want to acknowledge or confront because tribalism is rampant.

Other than the hardcore Saudi nationalists and a few brain dead Madkhalis, hardly anyone defends Saudi.

Unfortunately, except for a few brave souls, most of our Shi'a brothers and sisters are hell bent on defending Iran to the point where it is downright disheartening

What's a halal nightclub?

In real life, there is no such thing as a halal night club.

it is a contradiction in terms.

But if the night club is set up in the auspices of a supposedly Islamic government, they are using sarcasm to call it a halal night club,

Prostitution is legal

This could honestly reduce the demand, $, and violence involved... and if it's legal, then there won't be all these pimps. Also, prostitution occurs completely in private, that's why there is an argument for it (along with drugs) to be allowed for private use/consumption in an Islamic country.

They opened a halal nightclub few months ago (or maybe a year ago), both male and female can party as long as no alcohol is served. They call it halal because no alcohol is served. :hahaha:

  • Lebanon and Tunisia.. where do I start? Prostitution is legal, and like many other countries in the region (Levant as a whole and neighboring North African countries) alcohol is not prohibited.

Yeah but Lebanon is not a Muslim country, they are mixed. I’m shocked about Tunisia tho, I heard since 2017 Muslim women are allowed to marry non Muslim men, not sure if that’s true tho.

I agree with you that it takes courage to criticise ones own, and I think it's safe to say that some aspects of Iranian foreign policy have been and continues to be criticised on this platform extensively.

Isn’t that the halal nightclub?

This concert was part of the same 'entertainment allowances' that MBS is behind.

We give no one a break

We have way too many concurrent threads about Iran, we need to mix it up a little.

Hahaha.. Matte, shiny, glittery, shimmery all are halal as long as you take them off for Wudhu and don't wear them around non mehrams.

Girls refer to what was marketed as water permeable nail polish(which it isn't) as halal.
