I'm so sick of people misunderstanding and misusing mutah. It gets really old and manipulative fast. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Do you mean misuse and misunderstanding of Mut’ah from within the Shi’ah community? I assume you mean members of your community treating it as something akin to prostitution?

No, I meant something else. An entirely different beast altogether.

@hasanhh it seems as if the dots are getting closer to the goal, but they're not, the whole line keeps shifting up.

l thought the thought was in the kanji and kana.

All l could read was "gorisuru __ __ nani ka ga __chiru"

l tried looking up the gate kanji but got no duplicate.

lt it Safar 1 and Sofar l-for-1 am dazed and nearly confused.

New colours.

New lay out.

Looks nice , , ,

but l am discombobulated.

lt is not vertigo, yet my mind is intellectually in slow spin.

l wonder how long it takes for my body to adjust? Like with a new medicine.

Especially with those many kindergarten colors at the top. Next to SC.com.  :ko:

Seriously, thanks Reza -as l figured you did the work to re-stylize our lnternet home. :sign_merci:

Porn actor and pimp? Why would you accuse people like that?

Just search online "Floyd Mayweather gentlemens club". I was going to post links, but then I thought better not.

George Floyd having done porn seems to be confirmed as well, and it's all over the internet. I honestly didn't want to check the porn sites if it's REALLY true , lol. If you have info that George Floyd being a porn actor is not true, please let me know!

I feel so restless and frustrated. People approach me for help with various problems. I am not always in a position to provide a solution and it leaves me heavy-hearted. I mean someone from so far away and who I don't talk to on regular basis, in a desperate state of mind, thought of reaching out to me for help and I couldn't do anything for him.   :(((

Salam. I feel the same way sometimes. You can only do what Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) gave you the ability to do, nothing more. The only thing you really control in this world is your own niyyat (intention). That can go a long way, but it can't solve everything.

True ^^

Where I live men usually don't go to women for help. The fact that two of these were men (who had worked for me in the past) who sought help for finding a job and family issues lead me to think that

a. Maybe Allah put a thought in their head to come to me in which maybe I should be doing something for them

b. But more likely, they had exhausted/been disappointed with any potentially helpful men around them which is the main source of my frustration. Their problems weren't big but what I so commonly observe is that people who are settled in their own lives rarely go out of their way to help others. At best they will do a half hearted attempt which in my opinion doesn't count. If one really wants to please Allah then unless he is moving out of his comfort zone and facing some inconvenience he isn't really putting his nafs through any Jihad.

Made me think of a gentleman who was my father's Commanding Officer back in the 70s. 40 years later when my father had been dead for 30 years and my mother needed help, despite being out of touch for over two decades and being in his 80s and with an injured foot and knowing the fact that we wouldn't be in a position to return the favour he travelled to another city to help us.

May Allah bless his soul.

Sounds like he’s belting out lyrics to a song

He is almost as bad as two muezzin a decade ago.

We were searching for an Adhan we liked and one muezzin sounded like he was in a yodeling contest and the other as if he was trying to imitate Johnny Weissmuller  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwHWbsvgQUE

@hasanhhthe one I posted sounded like those “bros” who live for American foot ball. The ones that have all the gear on and paint their face to match the team colors. Then when a team scores they start belting out victory songs that are off key  lol. Alhamduillah our scholars recite in a way that make you reflect on the words of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and make you humble and mindful of even the smallest sins.

ln the background l have the TV on which is airing another re-run of Tuesday night's debate. [Well, that is more intelligible than regular TV noise.]

l heard Trump's voice and what he was saying and this thought occured to me:

The Office of Trump has the affectation: Exaggerator in Chief.

l heard three irritating TV commercials in a row.

Can't someone eliminate the current pop singing style?

Like sagging jeans, we just have to ignore it until it passes, and every fashion passes.

And comes back. Like the current "holes in jeans" thing.

You uhties will appreciate  this story.

My mother had this green with-something-in-the-weave dress that was the style sometime in the 1940s (l guess the time frame.) Anyway, besides never seen her wear it, every few years she'd say, "everything comes back in style and l have this green dress l am keeping for that occasion" Not exact, yet the meaning is the same.

Sure enough, in the 1980s she saw in a magazine that this is the "latest" design. My dad was with her to whatever/wherever they went. All the women came up to her astounded that my mom had this expensive new outfit. My mom's delight was in telling this demonstration-experiment.
