This verse is interesting. According to it, the world ends in the same way it began.

Personally, l do not have a problem with science-based speculation as long as there is some 'accounting/logic' included. What l personally do not like is when "kun, fala'kun" is challenged.

ln that vein, l was again thinking yesterday about Khalaq-(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). keeping things animated('make go'). Take a small piece of soil --the amino acids, ,microscoptic life forms, out-of-normal-vision bugs, tiny bugs, and so on. That is a lot right there!

Mashallah, Allahu Akbar.

Think of it as a stretching rubber-band. When it's released, bam! Same for the universe probably, based on my understanding of the verse you stated. It's slowly expanding, and eventually will shrink back to what it state it once was.

This contradicts "Dark Matter" models.
